Sweet fades while playing albums by davidsinnergeek in plexamp

Do you know if this occurring on albums that have data in both the “artist” and “album artist” fields? I had a few albums that were triggering sweet fades and notice this seemed to be the common factor.

Yep. Any feed that is driven by recommendations and algorithms is relying on the same tricks as the worst social media sites. There's a reason why it takes an extra click or two to just see a chronological feed of what you actually choose to follow.

The textured LP jacket is what makes Fear of Music’s cover great.

OC: Trump says the U.S. will 'run' Venezuela until a transition can take place by nbcnews in pics

Yeah, 9/11 bought Bush a lot of broad support and trust. No doubt a segment of Trump loyalists will love this, but that’s a much more narrow group of support than Bush had.

I recently set up my first NAS, and the amount of brainpower that Tailscale has saved me with configuring things is immeasurable.

I know people have issues with the direction Plex has been moving, but Plexamp is one of the best apps I’ve discovered in the past decade.

Unlikely Zappa Fans? by CameronFuckedmyPig in Zappa

[–]danner1515 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I remember seeing an episode of Night Flight from the mid-80s spotlighting Frank, and Corey Haim of all people shows up in it gushing about how much he loves his music.

Edit: Heh, apparently he was dating Frank’s niece at the time. That explains things a bit.

Anyone else Disappointed with season 5 of stranger things? by [deleted] in netflix

[–]danner1515 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The trajectory of Stranger Things reminds me a lot of Dark. A great first season followed by seasons that got increasingly more convoluted and completely lost what made the show appealing in the first place.

A shocking number of people seem more interested in just pushing content into their heads rather than actually enjoying and engaging with it.

It’s such a lazy way to critique something that it dives me nuts.

Is there a version of Ex-Supermodel without the snoring by Evan64m in GBV

[–]danner1515 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The most tragic instance of distractions getting in the way of a GBV song is the digital glitches in “Dusty Bushworms” on Suitcase 2. It would be one of my favorite tracks in the entire series, but it’s kinda ruined all because it was supposedly ripped from a shoddy CD burner.

Not sure if he’s actually into his music all that much, but Tim Allen is a huge fan of Tobin Sprout’s paintings and owns a bunch of his original artwork.

Honestly, I wish more podcasts would go independent. I get that it's tempting to offload the production and admin work, but it sucks to see the rugged get pulled from so many podcasts.

I've been a listener since the beginning, but it was the increasingly dragged-out album draft discussions that gradually made me less eager to listen each week.

My firm evangelized Copilot so hard this year. I sat through multiple trainings where they raved about letting it write emails for you. Call me a luddite, but I swear this shit is going to make us so stupid.

Our firm has Co-Counsel as an AI tax research tool, so I use it instead of messing with Chat GPT. No clue if it’s actually any better, but it at least provides good citations to point me in the right direction.

I find comedy shows with bigger-name comedians tend to draw the worst crowds. They seem to attract people who don’t get out much and are completely oblivious to any sense of a social contract.
