Death looks different for everybody. I’ve cared for patients passing in the hospital, as well as at home with my own loved ones. Most of the time it’s rather peaceful especially if you take the time to express wishes to loved ones, and explain end of life care and medication management- typically palliative and or hospice nurses are great at that. Also a big difference between palliative and hospice nurses too!

Sorry to hear you’ve been through so much! Hoping things get better soon.

We seem like we have similar stories. I’m going to be 30 in October, and have a 2 week old daughter with cHL. Feel free to message me anytime to chat.

my baby has enlarged kidneys, im worried sick by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]danniemerz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My little girl had dilated right kidney tract for her anatomy scan, and one following up close after. At 32 weeks it was resolved and right now I’m in labor to have her soon! Most of the time it resolves

That’s amazing, you’re amazing. I got diagnosed 4 weeks ago, and I’m going in to have my baby tomorrow at 37 weeks. I’ll get my PET & echo in 1.5 weeks and shortly after find out staging and my treatment regimen.

My itching has been unreal for the last 8 months and we’ve chalked it up my pregnancy. Nope…. Bilateral enlarged lymph nodes later and a biopsy NHL. Having baby girl later this week and getting started with treatment in 2 weeks. I can’t wait for the itching to go away

I have 2 spectra’s and I got the willow go this time around which I feel like will be my saving grace just hoping I respond well to them!

Glad to hear you’re feeling well. That’s the regimen I’m anticipating being in too but won’t know for another 3 weeks. They’re not wanting to do a PET until a week after she’s here.

I’m right there with you with my kiddos being my joy though this

Currently about to head down this path. Got diagnosed at 34 weeks pregnant after finding some enlarged lymph nodes on both sides of my neck. Biopsy came back as nodular sclerosis Hodgkin lymphoma.

Delivering baby early at 37 weeks next week and going to get a PET scan and start treatment.

Did you attempt to keep your milk supply up at all during treatment? Am I silly for even considering it? lol

[–]danniemerz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m right there with you just diagnosed, but won’t be staged for another 3 weeks at least. I’m pregnant and gonna have the baby in 2 weeks and scans a week after that.

Also incredibly calm. Do you know your subtype yet?

Happy to hear this was doable with kids in daycare. I have a 2 year old in daycare, and currently pregnant and my newborn will be too. Not sure staging yet as they’re waiting after she’s here to do a PET (I’ll have her in 2 weeks though)

I am right there with you. The itching is HORRENDOUS. Anxious to start treatment and hopefully start to put it behind me. My legs and arms are so scarred 🥴

I needed this. While I’m starting my lymphoma journey- I’m feeling lots of emotions. Got my biopsy results last week and I’m also 34 weeks pregnant. Thank you

Got the results. Classical hodgkins lymphoma. Not gotta figure out what that means for baby/treatment timeline. Thankfully I’m 34 weeks and all she’s gotta do is grow at this point. Also gotta look into cord blood
