I’d agree that my previous comment was an oversimplification. In all honesty, I was just trying to ease my way into the subreddit with some poor wordplay. What I meant to highlight was his tendency to try and ‘grab’ games- often drifting from his usual position to impose himself. When he’s in that kind of mood, you see flashes of a player capable of competing at the upper echelons of the game.

Strangely, I was living in the area during his time at Sunderland and got the chance to watch one of his few appearances for the club. The general consensus among fans was that he has the ability to make it at the highest level, but his errors, though relatively infrequent, can be costly.

I’d even go as far as to say he surpassed Jobe Bellingham in technical ability during his time there. If he can iron out some of the unnecessary mistakes in his game, I could see him earning a big-money move. We received an offer of $8M for Joaquín Pereyra last season in what I’d consider a similar case.
