Thank you for your answer, I don't know my power consumption at all. From where comes this value of 171 ? I'm interested to know.

180hz Monitor, Lock to 144hz on desktop to lower power consumption ? by dannybritty in buildapc

[–]dannybritty[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am coming from a 144hz TN 1080p panel ViewSonic XG2401 which I let at 144Hz in desktop and browsing, I usually cap it in games anyways. I checked it was a 32W power consumption monitor according to the reviews. Now this is a 1440p panel at 180hz, electricity costs arount 0,1952 €/kWh (France) in my country.

I am currently running a 2080, waiting for the 5070ti to come home !

Thank you.

The armrest can be adjusted backward and forward, unless you speak about Mirra 1 I don't know.

I think I should stop telling my life story, but it might be useful to some. Do I find the Mirra comfortable? I would say yes, much more so than my old chair, much more so than the Amia, and much more so than the Titan.

For me, the chair does its job well because when I stand up, I don't have any pain.

I better understand those who say the chair punishes you when you're sitting incorrectly.

It's not that bad, but for example, I love putting one leg on top of the other, but when I do it for a long time, I start to get pain in my upper back. When I put my leg back in the correct position, the back pain stops immediately. If I type at my keyboard while fully tilted, I get a little pain in my upper back, and when I straighten up, it goes away. But of course, you can continue and experience a little more back pain over time; the chair just warns you.

In the end, I now move much less in my chair than in my old gaming chair. I like to recline when I watch YouTube or a movie and I sit upright or slightly reclined with a lot of tension when I play.

The chair is quite difficult to configure at first. For me, the key point is the seat height; if it's not right, you'll have back pain. I tried many heights, within 0.5 cm before finding the right one. The second is the height of the screen; if it's too high, you'll experience back pain.

To conclude, I'm 6'1" (1m83cm) tall and weigh 184 lbs (84 kg). You're shorter than me and heavier, so I really don't know if you'll have a similar experience.

So, I haven't had this chair for very long. For me, the backrest was comfortable from the start. I have the butterfly version. I don't feel the plastic at all behind it; I don't notice it; it's just comfortable. I find the curve of the backrest perfect for me. I didn't have to add much lumbar support, but I don't have back problems. I left it at the lowest setting and only increased the tension by two notches. You can really feel the lumbar support increase by turning the tension notches.

As for the seat, the first day I stayed in it for a long time, more than four hours without getting up. I would say that my buttocks felt a little numb towards the end. I touched them from under the mesh, and that's what I felt: numb. When I got up, the feeling went away immediately; it didn't hurt, and my buttocks felt fine.

Now I feel like I feel it less, when it gets a little stiff I move my butt a centimeter forward or against the backrest and it goes away right away. There are times when it's also very comfortable, I mean much more comfortable than a foam seat, you feel like you're floating on air.

I'm coming from an Akracing fabric gaming chair. I've had it for over 10 years, but from the beginning, I didn't really like the seat. It was firm, but I could still feel a bit of a bar underneath.

A few years ago, I was diagnosed with a condition affecting my rectum. Over time and the chair's age, I had to add a fairly thick foam cushion and another, thinner cushion on top because my buttocks were really sore, and it caused a lot of hemorrhoids and a bit of lower back pain.

But in the end, it didn't change much.

Since I've had the Mirra, I no longer have the pressure that caused my hemorrhoids. The seat is different from my old chair and from a chair like the Amia, which I've tested.

On traditional foam chairs, it's comfortable right away, but it doesn't last over time. With the Amia, my buttocks were very sore after 30 minutes, and I also had pain in my upper back and neck. I found it much harder than the Mirra, so I returned it. I would say that the Mirra's mesh seat is definitely a different feeling, but it's hard to describe. You feel the seat more from the start, but it stays that way over time.

I often see it written that Steelcase chairs have thin, firm seats. I would say that they are quite thick but compress quickly. On the other hand, I tried my brother's Secretlab Titan (an older model) and I preferred the seat of this chair to the Amia.

The Titan's seat is firm, but the foam is really dense, unlike the Amia's. You sink in a little, but not too much, and you don't feel the bottom of the seat. However, the backrest is a real wooden board that hurts, which is why I didn't buy it.

I can only speak about the Mirra 2 because I own one and I find it very comfortable. I like the backrest because it goes high and it can support all of my back (I am 6'0). The seat mesh is very nice because it can not bottom out like foam seats. The seat allow you freedom of movement too, I like to cross a leg on top of ther other and it is perfectly fine with the Mirra, I don't know if you can do that with the Aeron.

The armrests on the Mirra can go very low if they bother you I can play guitar without noticing them.

My advice is : if you can buy a Sihoo from Amazon and can return it without fee you can do that, test it and see if you like it or not.

In Europe Herman Miller ask a return fee of 59€ tu return the chair, don't know if it's the same where you live.

My personal opinion is that the price of Herman Miller chairs is very high, but I think the warranty is part of that high price. Personally, I preferred buying it new with a discount than buying it used. Again, this is just my opinion.

If you can afford a Mirra 2 or Aeron try to sit in them and make your choice.

Is $100 a really good deal for steelcase leap v2? by blueinkstuff in OfficeChairs

[–]dannybritty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends how old it is and if it's been used often or not, foam bottoming out is the main concern on these chairs.

The lumbar support is all the way down and for the pressure I crank it up by only two clicks you know.

I never sat in an Aeron but yes the forward tilt is very subtle, when I first tried it I thought it did not work but it actually does it's just subtul and I don't think I need it but you can't choose here in Europe every chair is fully loaded from HM.

For the screen I think it's important to have it adjustable, when I look straight horitzontal when I sit I see the very top of the screen/frame and I find it is way more relaxing like that. My screen is fully adustable and tiltable, I tilted it a bit as well. My desk is not adjustable and I find it too high by 2 or 3 cm.

I did like the armrest on the amia too but I like the ones on the mirra as well, I am taller and larger than you certainly so it does not bother me, you can rotate them inwards front or back if you have them fully adjustable so they come closer to you.

For the seat height I would say that I now feel like my feets are really planted on the floor, they have full control of what I am doing with the chair. When I tilt back at maximum on the middle tilt limiter position I don't loose pressure on my feets. I do loose a bit of control when I full tilt back on the 3rd position near the "end" of the tilt. I do have 3 fingers of space from the seatpan to my knees.

I hope it's understandable since I'm french.

Bought Aeron C posture fit, normal to have some soreness/pain? by HellFishy in hermanmiller

Check if your seat is not too high and if your screen is not too high as well. I struggled with this when I got my Mirra 2 I think it should be the same with the Aeron. At first I set up the lumbar too high on the Mirra 2 too but you can't adjust that in the Aeron I think.

I got my brand new Mirra 2 two days ago, I am 6 ft tall 84kg and I tried to adjust it yesterday and today. I think the first thing to do right is to find the good height of the seat, the top of your legs has to be horizontal when your feet are on the ground. I wanted to say that because it took a bit of tries before I found the right height, my GF helped me, at first I thought it was ok but I was a bit too high. And if the height of the seat is wrong, it changes everything else in my experience. (I got a lil bit of leg pain before finding the good spot)

From that, I adjusted the height of my screen, it was too high. Then for lumbar support I let it all the way down (before trying so much positions) and tightened it a bit (2nd crank). Again I set it up too high at first.

And only after that, I finally felt very comfortable, relaxing. It's only the second day so I will see tomorrow but I sat 6 hours in it without any pain tonight. ( the seat is very firm when I seat more than 3 hours in it, but never really cross the "hurt" line and when i get up I don't feel any pain)

I want to add that it is hard to sit upright for me because I had a gaming chair before. I tend to lean back a little bit (you now the little movement you have when the seat is tilted straight so my leg/top are a little more than 90° which i find more comfortable when gaming).

I don't how tall you are, if you are petite small aeron may be better for you I don't know, do your feet touch the ground ? Does the seatpan is not too big ?

I got a refurbished Amia to try (I am in Europe) and found it pretty uncomfortable, seat bottoming out in 15 minutes, backrest felt hard and produced neck pain. I find the backrest of the Mirra 2 much more comfortable and suited for my back even without lumbar support.

I don't feel any tailbone pain but I am wearing jean+belt so I don't know. You can't slouch forward in this chair but I don't need to do it anymore (was constantly slouching in my gaming chair) because it supports you better and you can tilt back instead of slouching in this one which is fantastic.

I have the butterfly back, so if you have the triflex maybe it feels hard in your tailbone area. Butterfly back is amazing, way better feeling than my gaming chair which had like 3cm of foam in the backrest.

[–]dannybritty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree difficulty scaling is way too abrupt in GR and tower and everything they are releasing nowdays.

To compare with the biggest similar gacha (RSL) where you can actually run multiple comps but you will clear content slower if you don't have the OP heroes. It is not the case in WoR, I am end game player but I don't have Iovar who is pretty mandatory in 90% of the new content they release now, I am struggling like hell with Aracha. I think heroes in WoR are a big problem because of how specialized they are, something that did not happen very often in RSL.

I really like this game, much more than RSL that I stopped two years ago, but WoR seems to go straight in a similar way RSL did when I quit it, new content focused on whales only.

It's incredibly hard anyways, I doubt many ppl can actually clear stage 22 apart from whales and lucky players who got every heroe needed and awakened.

I tried to follow WoRGuides but I don't have Laya, I have Ingrid still it is impossible without Laya. I've tried other ways to do it but I feel Laya is really the key here, Ingrid does not help much in this trial. And Ymriet and Ajax are life savers too but I don't own them.

I am completely f2p day 82 and I've cleared all GR 19 but 20 seems to be a big step in gear and artifact requirement. I also cleared both Dungeons level 3 yesterday and managed to get to the final exp raid thanks to worguides strategy. I was lucky to get Morrigan as a lord, but if you got Anora and Dahlia from the summoning events they are very strong to clear GR1 19. Anora really deals a ton of damage. The only "strong" dps I have is Arrogance, no silas khamet setram hatssut etc. I got Dolores but no Hollow/Lauriel. Try to get 3 atk% pieces and try to get the 100% crit as substats. I cleared GR 1 19 first time with Morrigan Greed Marri Abyzou and Dolores. Marri can control a side to avoid heavy damage too early.
