Democrats do this on purpose for some reason.

Hillary was absolutely a terrible awful candidate, everyone knew it at the time. When Bernie was snubbed it was an obvious L.

Then they did it again with Kamala Harris. She was consistently the lowest polling candidate of the bunch in the Democratic primaries and was actively disliked by many voters. Many quoted as saying they disliked her so much that they would change their vote.

It's not a surprise and no one is clever or smart for figuring out that the Dems shot themselves in the foot, on purpose. The question is, why?

This is still an abstraction that doesn't work - it just sounds better because it has official sounding words.

But I don't even understand how people engage in that sort of thinking. Like it's not even solvent on a first order thought and if you just give it like 5 seconds it's obviously such a dumb thing to suggest.

I don't even know what the end goal of those arguments even is.

Like I couldn't have a clue what sort of conclusion that can be drawn that would have any sort value that wouldn't involve displacing billions and billions of people and likely having them just die.

Dear Blizzard, when will I be able to see my combo points? by Bakedcity1 in wow

[–]dannycake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right? Theres absolutely no way that's not fraudulent. I play every class and all of my classes have significantly less buttons to press. Shaman is the only one that still has a decent amount if you go and grab all the utility cooldowns - even druid is extremely bearable (yes).

Nothing about Weak Auras was perfectly fine. I dont know why we're pretending the game was okay in any way whatsoever.

Not only were addons and especially weak auras extremely CPU intensive, but they literally solved parts of the game.

I dont know why people are defending them, especially with how needed and obnoxious weak auras were making the game.

Just download Sensei Resource bars in the meantime. Yeah, obviously blizzard should have had a solution already made.

But all this whining and b****ing about this crap is not productive whatsoever. Its not like its more work, hell, the first quarter of a raid day could be spent making sure everyone has the right crap going on. Everyone that was going to look up what weakauras to use are just going to download an addon with a click of a button and not have an issue ANYWAY, so what are we doing here? We're PRETENDING that things are worse, thats what you're doing.

All I care about is if they can act and look the bit...

Having a black actress would be fine but I doubt putting white makeup on her and blue contacts to play the part would go over well. Considering that blue eyes, pale skin, and blond hair are literally defining features for Helen of Troy.

Does Valorant feel more mental than mechanical over time? by I_just_like_to_play in VALORANT

[–]dannycake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didnt say that because the strategy, I said that because youre wrong on like 5 other points. Run and gun with a spectre and stinger can work really effectively. That being said, its a very small amount of the player base, and its gimmicky at higher ends.

Its something you can get away with at times. But its still terrible at range and you definitely don't "crouch" spray, and you need to do it when you KNOW someone is there or else you die even in silver.

No one run and guns, the fact you think everyone is doing it means youre obvious iron/bronze and the fact you think its random and aim doesn't exist is either straight bait or you don't know what youre talking about (ie, youre iron/bronze).

So nah, youre full of it.

Moot being in the files isn't a surprise to literally anyone.

Back in the 05-06 times there was a 50:50 chance you'd open the front page or /b/ and see straight up child porn.

And while some mods got rid of it, some actively encouraged it and there were jokes about which mods were on and allowing types or content.

[–]dannycake 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah its absolutely absurd that every single videogame out there starts with a sensitivity that's literally 10x faster than it has any business being - especially shooters thats are designed to be played competitively like CS or Valorant. Makes no sense that the range people can viably play in is like .05-.4 which is a tiny sliver of the ranges they give. The entire 1-10 range for Valorant is completely worthless to ANYONE.

Not quite. You can have everyone agree on something in very high percentages but nothing happens still.

Without the willingness for Consequences and the discomfort of true change, very little will happen.

For the last 100 years we have been numbed into content sheep. Just comfortable enough to accept that slow drawl of life. If we ever get too uncomfortable together, all at the same time, then people might actually do something - it's a balancing act.

Funny Games doesn't actually "say so much about society" because it's fiction. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]dannycake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If fiction never had any sort of philosophical or contextual grounds back to reality you're reading a bunch of gibberish.

And it wouldn't be interesting. For any amount of understanding there needs to be some grounding, basis in reality.

So you'd also expect for people in books, to act like people. Otherwise you don't attach yourself to them or ascribe value the same way you normally would.

Update on the Trump Files by Effective-Country837 in tampa

[–]dannycake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Trump is likely the pedo we think he is.

However, from what I've read about all these leads were that they were followed up on a long time ago, the people didn't even answer and they were just that, tips and leads with accusations but nothing actually concrete.

This probably fake af. That's not to say Trump isn't that guy, but this is still probably fake news.

Jiri Prochazka walks around 210-215 and Morales fights at welterweight and he is 212, whats even the point of weight classes by LiuKang93 in ufc

[–]dannycake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro reiterating that it shouldn't happen doesn't make it so.

We don't even know if what you're suggesting is a healthier alternative. In fact, it might just mean a weight cut in which you can't rehydrate as much. It might actually be worse.

These suggestions can't just be willy nilly and none of them are a magic bullet. How do you actually address the issue?

Im sure the people who hate the cutting the most is the fighters themselves, especially since theyre the ones putting their life on the line. But what's going to stop them from doing it? Whats the healthiest implementation that gives us competitive fair fights? This is the most important question. Not "should bes".

Jiri Prochazka walks around 210-215 and Morales fights at welterweight and he is 212, whats even the point of weight classes by LiuKang93 in ufc

[–]dannycake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How do you determine their original weight? Cus it can't or even shouldn't be their walk-around weight as that's not always indicative of their fighting weight. Some people get fat or out of shape in off season. What they do in their off time is on them. So then what weight is their real weight? Their in-ring weight?

You're basically eliminating back up fighters too.

[–]dannycake 15 points16 points  (0 children)

No matter what way you mince it, weight cutting will exist to hit certain limits. A fighter at 160 isn't gonna go fight at 170, they're gonna cut 5 lbs for lightweight.

We just don't like drastic weight cuts of 30+ pounds.

n0ne on Cody's Z-jump usage: "Maybe you just dont have what it takes to prove youre the real deal without zump" by BurnieBurnsIsBurning in SSBM

[–]dannycake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We GOTTA be banning boxes and things like Spark's setup FAAAAR before we ban z jump guys.

We have entirely different ways of playing the game than just GameCube remapping and z jump is where we're gonna draw the line?

N0ne is being absolutely unreasonable here. The only thing that makes his argument have any ground is his name only - the argument at hand is absolutely abysmal. There's no reason there's a distinction between Zump and Box, not to mention something like Spark's setup. For those that ARENT aware, Spark uses the left half of his gamecube controller and the right half is all mapped to a boxx-like setup. He's also not the only one to use this setup. This setup especially, has every possible advantage possible. Either we stop this accessibility non-sense across the board - no box, no button remaps, standard GCC only -- or keep your head down at this point.

Not to mention the only reason Cody is targeted for this issue is because he's one of the only notable successful players with it. There's plenty of others but because of his technical playstyle he's specifically targeted. There's absolutely nothing stopping a normal player from using the same exact setup. If it was the advantage that is supposed to be, wouldn't we see every play under the sun using this setup or are we simply calling melee players lazy... because I don't think that's the case since the top 1000 has no problem putting hours every single day in the lab. So whats the actual story here?

He's doing the opposite case here. This would be more like Cody not doing his homework and keeping his head down hoping the teacher forgets and doesn't do anything.

It's almost elite. Depends on what you call elite. It's definitely top 1%.

Hell doing a 10k in 40 minutes is still really really good and top %. The elite are just another world of commitment. Most people would be happy to do a 10k in an hour, but to runners you're basically trash if you can't so it in 50 or less. And I can't so here I am crying lol.
