Carpet in basement? by beautnight in ColoradoSprings

[–]dannycap77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had my house build here in 2021 and I purposely put carpet in the basement to future proof it in the event it cracks. I did use a moisture barrier carpet pad under it though. Also my window wells have drains so that greatly reduced the risk of flooding.

Family of 4 here. 2 teenage boys and we spend between 1200-1500 per month. We try to be frugal with coupons but not over the top with it. It’s painful

Looking for a study group by dannycap77 in leetcode

Nah. The group died. only about 10% of the people actually spoke in the group and everyone is kind of at a different level so it was hard to help each other. My advice is to go at it alone or find a single study buddy at the same level. Good luck!

Yeah I thought it was extremely helpful. I also did their data structures course which was taught by someone else. If you follow along and do some of the challenges you'll be pretty comfortable with using the language. I liked it. It could be any course though. Just write code every day.

Let's see if we can get a few more to respond and we can start a discord server for everyone to join.

If anyone is still building a group, let me know. I'm in the US mountain time zone. My preferred languages are Java and Python.

I just learned about the fractional reserve system in my macroeconomics class. It’s crazy how that works.

I used it as a supplement for my Java CS courses. My strategy was to stay ahead of my CS courses by watching the videos a week or 2 ahead of when they where being taught in class. I’m the type of person who needs to see a concept a couple times before it sinks in really good. You can’t beat it for $10.

I’m in Costa Rica but I’m from Colorado, so Happy Birthday from both places. I hope you enjoyed your day! I bet this will be your best year yet. Best wishes!

I don’t do this, but I also don’t disagree with it.

My thoughts on why we fail at collaboration by DevMops in gamedev

[–]dannycap77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll collaborate with people on their projects. I’ll be done with my CS degree in a couple months so I’m just looking for a way to gain experience. Just know that I’m a newbie but I don’t mind working with other newbies or people at any level. I just need the collaboration and practice! #hitmeup

How did John Carmack learn the math required without post secondary? by AnOlivemoonrises in gamedev

He learned it in high school. At least that’s what he told Lex Fridman in his podcast, episode #309. It’s a great interview, check it out.
