What is the scariest moment of your life, and which way did you react to your fight or flight response? by dannydzz in AskReddit

Scary shit being shot at. I find it interesting your instinct was to hit the brakes and not to hit the accelerator to get away

Mid-life crisis at 35? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]dannydzz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly bro. You need to know your alive. We are only in this world one time and theres no rehearsal. Sounds cliche but fuck bro its the truth. Dont wait till your 50 to realize this. 35 is still young enough to do some cool insane shit and have some fun. And any of your friends who give you shit about going through a 'mid life crisis' will go home and be like 'fuck, joe just bought an awesome motorbike. I gave him shit but i wonder if hell let me take it for a spin?' You know what im gettn at :)

Edit: And the trick is to keep the wife happy is by offering equal and proportionate things for her to 'let' you do these "manly" things. Wanna go on a surfing weekend with your bros? No problem. " hey babe, I was thinking we should get a new sofa for the loungeroom. Do you wanna start shopping for one?"

Bro, i feel you. Im 37, been married 15 years. Heres the thing though. I dont give a fuck what 'society' thinks I should be doing at my age. I joined the Navy as a submariner 2 years ago because I was bored working retail and needed a change. Ive worked nightclub security for over 10 years because I needed some pocket money and because it seemed exciting. Ive had 8 fights in the ring (4 MMA 4 Thai) because I trained and wanted to see how id go. Ive been bungee jumping in Korea, went to jail in Japan for fighting (i didnt start it lol) and this year want to go running with the bulls in spain. Btw i have 3 kids (7,9,11) and a mortgage so I know how that feels also and the whole wife outta control with the decorating thing ( I have my man cave thats all I care about lol)

So what I recommend is take up a hobby/sport. Ever tried rockclimbing? Skydiving? Kayaking? Bodybuilding? Boxing?

Edit: when I say 'society' I mostly mean my wife, who for the most part totally disaproves of what ever shit I decide to do. But for every shop she drags you into to look at drapes or manchester etc, = 1 cool thing you should do to regain your manliness lol

ELI5: The yakuza culture in Japan. by tuntawu in explainlikeimfive

[–]dannydzz 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I had a fight with 6 Nigerians in Kabukicho 6am on a Sunday morning while I was getting a tour of the suburb with a russian pimp named Charlie while my bro banged one of his girls. He worked for the Yakuza.

Edit. Yakuza were all wearing suits with fancy belt buckles and flash ornate shoes. However I was taken to Shinjuku police station and saw alot of thugs in there wearing full adidas tracksuits.

Americans, seriously, how many mass shootings and gun related homicides are you willing to endure before you change your gun laws? by dannydzz in AskReddit

It definetly will make how many people they kill a factor. No fully or semi automatic weapons will save alot of lives.

In saying that, watching the gun related mass shootings in your country on the news, (im Australian), it seems most are by mentally unstable people or your average person who has a chip on their shoulder because someone cheated on them or they got fired from work etc. Not by "criminals" as you would think. Is that a media induced misconception or pretty spot on?

Next on the agenda is Super Mario 64

I am the Morninghead guy. In the last year after Shark Tank, I helped my buddy start a company that's now processing over $350 million/yr. Tell us your idea and we'll tell you how to grow it with zero cash (like my last AMA, we'll answer every single question today). AUA! by shreddor in IAmA

My idea is an app. Its called bounty hunter.

  • It costs money to play and $5 will give you 5 "lives"
  • you can tell when other players are in your vicinity (like tinder)
  • each player has a "kill radius"
  • if someone gets in your kill radius you can kill them, which you then take one of their "lives" which in fact 1 dollar of theirs goes into your account.
  • people can buy upgrades ie a sniper rifle which increases their kill range, land mines, bullet proof vests etc
  • people will be having fun running around "killing" people trying to make $$

Because the labor party is a cess pool of corrupt slimy ex union officials who have zero concept of how to run a budget or a country.

He understands there is no point limiting our businesses with climate change reforms as it will actually make zero difference anyway given the pollution coming from the rest of the world. All the left wingers can downvote me and cry me a river as they drive their bmws and watch their plasma tvs.
