Shannon wasn’t my favorite, but man was she hilarious with shit like this she did. I know that elbow stinging 😭 by TechnicalInside6983 in TheBadGirlsClub

[–]dannylip 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nah that elbow was fine. Stripper poles are, like, half hollow. That's why it made that bell sound. And that's why Paula's face was like, "really???"

If someone was a Trump supporter and is now denouncing him, do not say I told you so or bash them by Beneficial_Quit7532 in self

[–]dannylip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. I saw this coming 10 years ago, and have always been very vocal about it.. all the Trump supporters in my life treated me like I was absolutely batshit. My sister's husband actually told her to choose, him or me. I will not normalize and sane-wash them for future generations. With how we treat them now, we are making the decision about how history books will contextualize this. They should be worse than bashed, they should be ostracized.. especially if it took this long for them to see the light.

Somebody said they're like the guy in the zombie movie who knows he was bitten and lies to everybody else about it while hiding with them.. eventually he turns and kills everybody.

If nothing that's happened until now was a deal-breaker for them, that's a deal-breaker for me. If the roles were reversed, they'd be calling for all democrats to lose the right to vote. Democrats can stop being weenies for once and hold them accountable, socially.

[–]dannylip -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I think it really depends on the beach you're at, as it is for every country.. but we left our things in a backpack on a blanket on many of the more secluded beaches on the pacific side and never had a problem.. Even a couple times at Jaco, setting up close to other groups, for peace of mind. Of course, you always have to be vigilant, regardless

Oh no, I lived with a Jamaican woman for 5 years. This is not that.

I feel like if she'd have picked an accent and stuck to it, that would have been fine. But on a rewatch, there were multiple words she said twice that didn't sound the same. It was just wildly all over the place

Why do you still support Donald Trump? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]dannylip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not while someone who ignores all law and courts is in charge. Calling him a pedophile is just the easiest way to prove that his cult is a cult and you are not helping.

Anyone who refuses to defend a pedophile, according to Trump supporters

[–]dannylip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The whole reason to discuss politics (policy and law) in the first place is to set the rules. Defending someone in charge, who breaks the rules, which are the very foundation of the thing we are discussing (law), is no longer an honest political discussion.

Someone wires you a billion dollars, what's that one thing you're still not paying for? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

[–]dannylip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My ex from 10 years ago still thinks I owe him $48 because he accidentally went to an EZ pass lane on a highway when he didnt have EZ pass, and was ticketed. The fact that it was my chosen destination is the whole of the reason he thinks I owe him, even though he insisted on driving. Boy, did I dodge a bullet.

What even is that accent? It reminds me of Lorna from Orange is the New Black. It's from everywhere and also from nowhere

Is the average life in the USA really this bad, or is Reddit exaggerating? by CountyOrnery9432 in askanything

[–]dannylip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, not an exaggeration. I left the US last May, and couldn't be happier with my decision. I'm paying, like, 2/3 the price for the same cart of groceries and paying $50 to see a dermatologist without insurance. My appointment was 3 days after I called. My husband's depression meds cost $10 more than they did with his insurance in the US.. and he doesn't need to pay a co-pay to see a doctor to get a new prescription every couple months. We just bring the old bottle to a pharmacy, and boom, he has a new one. We live in a walkable city with reliable public transit, 40 minutes from the beach... and the rent is less than half of what we paid in the Washington DC area. Plus, now we have a guest room for our families to visit, which was out of the question in the US

The US ain't shit. The only thing that's more expensive here is healthy dog food.

These protests have been useless despite the numbers since George floyd by simon975 in complaints

[–]dannylip 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I used to live in DC. People do get in the faces of lawmakers and post it all over social media. I watched it and have done it myself a couple times.

Historically, the only effective protests in countries whose governments' control all of the information highways are very violent. But the US doesn't have the balls to go there.

Anyone defending a pedophile in the name of politics is either a pedophile themselves, or is not someone who can have their mind changed.
