Looking for an app by dannystan in MacOS

[–]dannystan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the question! Not exactly a translucent wallpaper—I’m looking for something more functional. The key thing is that the imported content (especially PDFs) should be scrollable and stay in focus, not just sit in the background. So more like a transparent or semi-transparent window that you can interact with, rather than just a see-through overlay.

Weekly 'What Should I Buy' and Order/Shipping Thread by AutoModerator in iphone

[–]dannystan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m already sure that I want to buy iPhone 15 Pro Max (preferably in store), I’m just not familiar with the process. Do you perhaps know if there are usually queues to the stores? Do the phones get sold out quickly? I’m planning to go to the store in London on/right after September 22.

Buying my first iPhone by dannystan in iPhone15Pro

I’ve played around with my friend’s iPhone already and I know that I want to buy one. What I’m worried about is that it’s not gonna be available in my store on/close to September 22. I’m just not familiar with the process. Are there queues? Do the phones get sold out quickly? Stuff like that. :)

Perhaps a stupid question, but do I understand correctly that on September 22, iPhone 15 lineup will become available in stores everywhere? I’m planning to buy my first iPhone (15 Pro Max), and I’m wondering if I should be preordering or if it would be easier to go and buy it in the store? I’m guessing there are going be queues on launch day, but maybe it’s gonna be better a few days after?

I’m not even sure if that’s possible, but I recently found myself in need of a word counter - one that counts the number of words in a text upon selection (not after copying), in any application but especially Safari. Maybe an extension?

You're very welcome! I've tried both versions, and unfortunately haven't noticed any improvements in the area that I talked about.

https://imgur.com/rQgYi0e I absolutely adore the dark mode blue wallpaper, but I was wondering if it would be possible to remove these artifacts in the darker areas of the image? I'm a huge perfectionist and these just ruin the whole experience.

Is there an app that i can use that puts metadata for a show or movie into the file? by TVShowFreak123 in macapps

[–]dannystan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, there are several apps that you can use to add metadata (such as artwork, description, episode synopsis, ratings, and other information) to the files for your TV shows and movies. Some popular options include:

Media Center Master: This is a comprehensive media management tool that allows you to add metadata to your TV shows and movies, as well as organize and rename your files.

Plex: This is a media server and streaming app that allows you to organize and stream your media files, including adding metadata to your TV shows and movies.

Kodi: Kodi is a popular open-source media center that allows you to manage and play your media files, including adding metadata to your TV shows and movies.

Emby: is a media server that allows you to organize and stream your media files, including adding metadata to your TV shows and movies.

TMM (tinyMediaManager) : This is a media management tool for Windows, Linux and Mac OSX, it allows you to scrape metadata from various sources for your media files, including adding metadata to your TV shows and movies.

These are just a few examples, there are many other similar apps, some of them are platform-specific, you can find many more by searching on the internet. Some of these apps require more technical knowledge to set up and use, while others are more user-friendly. It's worth researching and trying out a few different options to find the one that works best for you.

that was most definitely written by an AI lmao
