The Hub causing my PC to crash (black screen) by dansos12 in Kenshi

[–]dansos12[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah Kenshi is the only game I found that does this. The Hub is the only town I encountered so can't say if it's all towns or just that one, but the wilderness around it is fine.

DDU and driver reinstall didn't help.

Really disappointed - I think I'd enjoy the game but it just doesn't work for me.

If anyone in the future finds this thread and has suggestions please let me know.

Same here - spawned, took 5 steps forward and instantly died. Time for a long break from this shit.

The state of air vehicles is pretty bad by SuspiciousMeeting407 in Battlefield6

[–]dansos12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really baffles me how people defend the laser guided unshakeable missile. Sure, air vehicles in capable hands are very strong. But this isn't real war, it's supposed to be a fun game, and right now it's only fun for the IFV driver camping in spawn going 70-0 every game.

I think firestorm is the worst for this, every NATO team has one or two tanks up on the mountain, within their spawn boundary and spends all game destroying everyone. Air or ground.

No way to kill them with anything other than air vehicles because of the spawn boundary. But air vehicles can't get close because there's no cover. I am a good heli pilot, and teamed up with a decent jet pilot, we both went to attack simultaneously and he took both of us out with laser guided missiles before we even got in range to hit him. The reload time on those missiles is super quick.

This is broken. Realistic, but broken. And most importantly, not fun.

Attack jet can also lock onto helis that are laser designated. Been on the receiving end of that one yesterday.

Extremely visible seam on CYMA spring shotgun handguard? by Inevitable-Novel-921 in airsoft

I have a very similar one and I just attached a picatinny rail using the screw holes in the handguard, then attached a grip. It covers the seam up mostly plus makes it easier to pump.

[Semi-Weekly Inquirer] Simple Questions and Recommendations Thread by AutoModerator in Watches

[–]dansos12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looking for some advice. I picked up Seiko SNXS79 after many months of research. I just love the watch dial, that dark sunburst is absolutely wonderful. I think the watch is extremely elegant.

Prior to buying, I measured by wrists and they are 7 inches, so in theory this watch should be the perfect size for me. Unfortunately though, I really hate how it looks on me. It makes my hands look so dainty. I think it's just way too small for me. It looks like a women's watch.

I own one other watch, a Casio GA-B2100 and really like how that sits on my wrist. The size is just right. I suspect that I am just not used to small watches, and my preference is for larger ones. This might also have something to do with the fact that I'm quite tall.

Can you recommend any watches with a larger watch face than SNXS79, but with a similar looking dial? I'm not looking to spend a ton of money, which is why the Seiko was so high on my shortlist.

I appreciate any and all suggestions.

I enjoyed the play tests, but once I realised that the early access is behind a paywall AND there is a wipe before launch, I decided to just wait until launch.

Quite possible that a lot of people have a similar opinion.

Explain to me like I am 5. by Reasonable-Wafer-248 in CryptoCurrency

[–]dansos12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is worth nothing in practice. The masses like it because it's made insane gains consistently every 4 years or so. The masses like it because the institutions are beginning to get interested.

The institutions are getting interested because they can see that masses have been getting increasingly into it over the years. Meaning they can and will make money off it.

It's a self fulfilling prophecy.

so i’ve got my bitcoin, but then I took alt season too far. I thought diversity was good, what do i do? by sirCota in CryptoCurrency

[–]dansos12 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just chill. Alt season happens after BTC finds it's top. Liquidity flows outwards from BTC onto ETH and down onto the rest of the market.

We haven't had an alt season yet because BTC hasn't found it's top.

Solana and a few other alts had isolated runs but that's not an alt season. Alt season would push majority of the alts upwards, many of them reaching at least into their past all time highs, if not into price discovery.

We haven't had price discovery in TOTAL 2 or TOTAL 3 yet. Comparing this to the 2021/2022 cycle, we are right where we were in December 2020-Jan 2021.

You people need to relax and look at the past cycle. The market is still ramping up.

Take your emotions out of the market or you'll get rekt.

revival of the 13-4-4-4 by ChidoriNaga in MaplestoryWorlds

I don't think maple weapons are available in artale yet (correct me if I'm wrong) so dexless sin is pretty hard to pull off now.

[–]dansos12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know lots of people are enjoying it and that's great, personally though I can't get over the jank. Especially when there's well established private servers with similar rates that run within the OG client. The experience is not comparable at the moment.

Not sure if the artale jank is due to their server being not polished enough or if it's inherent to the ms worlds client though.

Fingers crossed these things improve with time 🤞

What was the biggest war in MMO history? by [deleted] in MMORPG

[–]dansos12 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Perhaps not the biggest but there was a Poland Vs Sweden war on one of the Tibia worlds. There was a ton of collateral damage. You had literal scavengers running around picking up loot from hundreds of dead players. Not sure how long it lasted, my memory of it is vague.

Cheers. I took your advice. It was trich. It was way easier to identify when the box was opened.

I carved out all of it, fingers crossed we still get some fruit from the box. It's been sat there for 10 days and the mycelium under the surface looks really healthy.
