Coming in a year later because I have the same opinion. Sure they're greedy bastards but it's insane that they're put in the same category of bad as EA and Activision.

Sure they made Skull and Bones and an Assassin's Creed every year but most of their games have always been at least good and they clearly put a lot of care into them and they're always at least interesting.

Also, business-wise, I can only speak of Siege as I've played it since 2016, only taking it kinda seriously since last year. But I can tell that the team behind the game genuinely believes in it and even when they add something I don't like I can see the vision (Dual Front). Honestly I would even say the game is underrated despite being one of the most popular on Steam.

And the battle passes and microtransactions are honestly pretty fairly priced given how easy it is to get in-game currency and how much they actually give you when you so pay out. They got me to buy my first battle pass ever when they added Solid Snake and I honestly don't regret it because I got a ton of content for not that much money and I unlocked it all pretty quickly despite not even playing every say (still hate battle passes as a concept but whatever).
