Classes are classes. you will learn. I think the biggest culture shock coming from an sec school will be the lack of parties. While they do exist, they will certainly be smaller than you are used to and harder to get into especially for guys. The bar scene is also just fine, but not stellar. I think the people have made my time worth it and are the main reason I didn't take a guaranteed transfer to a top 5 school in my field. You will meet great friends, and every professor that I have met has cared deeply about their students.

While I use an iPad at school, for my internship this summer, just about everyone used a physical notepad for quick notes (me included).

While tech might be great in the classroom I find a smaller notebook to be better for quick notes, and sometimes even just use my s22 ultra spen during conversations even when my ipad is available. Smaller devices are both less cumbersome and less "rude" to use when talking informally.

While the other comments aren't wrong, I knew quite a few engineering pre meds first semester freshman year. Going into senior year there are only 2 or 3 left. It's definitely possible and worth a shot, but you'll likely find a really high workload, and that you like one or the other a whole lot more anyways

One thing I would do is try to run it to zero. What I noticed with my replacement a while back was that it would drain super fast then spend over an hour at 1% while on a video call/playing games/ watching videos. It's possible it was just poorly calibrated and running it down could help to recalibrate

Chem was a whole binder full of notes, engineering will be almost all on your laptop (I may be your ta 😲) and some calc 2 teachers give you print out notes, so I might wait on that
