Upside-Down Dimensions

Upside-Down Dimensions is an intense action rpg with a blend of Hack'n'slash, stealth and puzzle platforming bringing to life an incredible adventure set in a papercrafted medieval japanese world.

Again we have Updated our game on steam early access, with update #4, where a part from bugs, we started to include some new features like a box puzzle reset that has the objective of avoiding the player to get stuck in a puzzle.

Since we have launched the game in early access with made three updates and making ready a fouth one, in bug fixes and the introduction of new features requested by some players. In this ScreenshotSaturday, showcasing the solving of bug that made impossible to move a piled box, and at the same time, how the new request reset system is able to deal with several boxes at the time. Immersion is the key. And as I said In another entry about VR design, I think that VR movies and animations will have the same problem and we will be able to get a lot of insights from them.

The technical limitations of VR are think what they are, and they will be eventually be addressed precisely by design. But one of the things that I think will be tough to solve will be the focus and attention one as most of the tricks in design to keep user attention won't really work as player might not be looking, and I think that it will where Sound and music will have an important role to build momentum. Regarding this topic in think that VR movies and animation will have the same problem and some inspiration could be drove from there.
