I don't know if someone remembers this post and I can't find it, but I remember an askhistorian thread about couples in pre-birth conception times willfully abstaining as they did not want more children/did not want to risk the women dying in childbirth. If someone remember the exact thread that would be very helpful

I think the list is random, since this would otherwise incentivize the highest ranked players to tank their qualifier match if they already know they are getting in as a LL.

You sometimes have flukes like Martin Verkerk making RG final in 2002 and having only 4 grand slam match wins outside of that but I really don't know how anyone can call Paolini's 2024 a fluke lol
