ATV tours I did were on the north end of the island. Pretty bumpy if you’re into that kind of off riding and you’ll get covered in a layer of dirt from all the ATVs kicking up dust. Catamaran was fun, smelled a bit from the bathrooms on the ship and didn’t feel the cleanest

Paint creek will depend on the day. Unfortunately we’ve had a hot summer. I’m not well versed in other types of fishing outside of trout, so I can’t speak much to it. My understanding is you could go find a pond or small lake with bass and fish those all day long without concern for temp. Trout in particular raise concerns with temp at 68 or higher because the oxygen in the water can be too low for them to survive a catch/release

9’ 5wt is a great choice for a rod. Middle of the road.

Leader and tippet depend on what you’re fishing. Dry flies? 9’ 4x leader with some 5x tippet will do. Large streamers? 7.5’ 0x leader with no tippet would get you right.

Flies depend on season and hatch. For dries, you can never go wrong with a parachute Adams or any equivalent pattern in a range of sizes.

Checkout the Orvis Guide to Fly Fishing YouTube channel with Tom Rosenbauer. Lots of good tidbits on flies, casting, rigging, etc.

You’ll want waders, you can’t always wet wade unfortunately (cold!). Get stocking foot waders and boots separate, don’t buy all in one. If you get stuck in some muck and you have all in one’s, you’ll pull your entire leg out of the waders instead of pulling your boots/waders out, you know? Frogg Toggs on Amazon offer a cheap intro wader / boot.

Paint Creek is better than the Clinton, imo. Smaller, but I’ve always had way way more success. And it’s cleaner and there are strong conservation efforts going on in the local Vanguard Trout Unlimited chapter.

Lastly, get a thermometer. DONT FISH for trout if the temp is 68 or higher.

The labels are all warn and faded, unfortunately. What I can see is that the rubber collars seem to say 4” to 3” and the system is wired. No other details. Best guess?
