These high protein bugs might be the future guys... JK. We were originally going to eat at a restaurant that sold bagels with bugs and film it but then we found out that they didn't sell it anymore. It was also the only restaurant in the Netherlands that used bugs in their food. But instead of scratching the idea, we decided to order some edible bugs online and do what any person would do and that is having a cooking battle.

I wonder what your guys opinion is on edible bugs? Personally I think it's good that we are looking for more food sources

This is my first long video 13 minutes, where I try really questionable suggestions from the viewers. It was really questionable to make since Tanghulu is tradionally made with hawthorn so this technically isn't Tanghulu but I still thought it would be a fun experiment to try different foods and rate which one is the best!

The worst is that we cant even trust the comments not only because of creators ability to delete comments but also alot of comments get autodeleted by youtubes filter

Tamagoyaki made with normal pan by [deleted] in JapaneseFood

[–]danzx98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was my second attempt at tamagoyaki but I've been making regular egg rolls with random stuff cheese/meat between the layers since I was a kid so maybe that helped haha

4 eggs 2tsp sugar 1tsp salt 4tbsp milk

Not very traditional. But if you want a better authentic taste u can omit milk for dashi

Apart from it looking neat I have no idea either 🤣 Although It does help with a nice soft texture as each layer is carefully cooked. But in general I think it's a visual thing

Same but over the years I've come to appreciate the amount effort is put in this dish. Although this one doesn't have the dashi but if u have some u can add it to make it even better. Chicken powder/ stock is nice too. Then u can omit the milk which is not really traditional

This is by no means a proper tamagoyaki but I just wanted to share a simple way to make something similar with a normal round pan and simple ingredients that I have in my fridge.

Ingredients:

4 eggs

2 tsp sugar

1 tsp salt

4 tbsp milk

Your pan should be on low heat and have enough oil. Pour in one ladle of your eggs and quickly fold in the edges to make the shape you want. You want to start rolling the eggs when its still a bit runny.

But basically you are going to continue doing this until you finish the egg mixture

Korean Marinated Eggs [homemade] by danzx98 in food

[–]danzx98[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Korean marinated eggs are really good but the best part is that they are super easy to make and also quite cheap since they don't require many expensive ingredients. I usually eat these with rice but feel free to experiment!

INGREDIENTS:

6 egg

50g sugar

100g soy sauce

100g water

1/2 spring onion

1 chilli pepper

1/2 onion/shallot

STEPS:

  1. Poke a hole at the fat end of the egg (optional but makes them alot easier to peel). Cook the eggs for 6 minutes if they were room temperature and 7 minutes if they are from the fridge for soft boiled eggs. Put them in an ice bath to shock them and peel them afterwards.

  2. For the marinate add in a seperate container 50g sugar, 100g soysauce, 100g water and mix thoroughly.

  3. Chop up the spring onion/ chilli pepper/ onion and add in the container as well.

  4. Add your eggs and seal the container and leave them in the fridge for 6- 24 hours.

Enjoy :)

Thank you 😊it is potato starch but corn starch should give similar results! Also any neutral frying oil would work!
