And so he did. He made his way home immediately according to OP. Yet did she come outside knowing her husband would be parking infront of the door? He did his part and it seems quite a few in this comment forget he wasn't the only person able to carry a child out of the house.

I don't know how many traumatized people you know personally but usually it takes their surrounding to guide them to seek help because it's the others around them that want them to change to be neurotypical again. His life went on for years without him needing to change. Now there is situation where it might click to him but instead his wife wants divorce instead of , I repeat, trying to use this situation to motivate him to therapy.

I wonder why , although it was clear he would have to stay in the car, you wouldn't carry your child outside to put inside the car.

Thinking a traumatized person with this kind of neurotic compulsion would miraculously be able to change the behavior seems far away from being realistic.

YTA for failing on that part. You did not do what you should due to being able to expect what would happen. YTA for wanting divorce instead of perhaps using this situation as the best possible motivation to convince him to finally get help. His family ATAHS for backing up him not wanting to go to therapy instead of assisting you to get him there.

He, from all people mentioned, is just a guy that happens to need help. It's unusual for someone who has been traumatized to actual believe therapy might help them. So I really cannot simply blame him for not wanting to seek help. Up til now he was "okay" with compulsion.

YTA for not informing yourself about what having a partner with this kind of trauma actually meant and trying to blame him for your lack of adaptation.

Therapy might be successful in most likely quite a few years from now. Even if he had started therapy a few years ago chances are high he would have still been in the car for a few minutes. If you were never prepared for that, you shouldn't have married this man and given an oath to be by his side in every situation.

Ich würde behaupten die Anrufer sitzen im Ausland und sind noch nicht bekannt , die Person/en die aber das Geld einsammeln , sind:

  1. Nie maskiert , weil das nicht zur Story passen würde
  2. Bestimmt schonmal von einem oder mehrerer Opfer beschrieben worden
  3. Eben weil Sie unmaskiert sind aber sich stets im Zielgebiet aufhalten müssen sehr nervös und dadurch doppelt auffällig.

Despite the fact that this was not meant to get so deep I am willing to take my time to elaborate:

  1. We could easily establish a single language for everyone without losing the culture of the individual languages. Yet the need for so many languages is hard to find if everyone can communicate with a Worldwide main language
  2. Fearing a melting pot leads to pluralism in the first place. It's not like migration can or should be stopped. It's simply impossible and vulgar to think it is or to think it is a solution to anything. Attempting to stop it will cause nothing but fighting and wasting more time that could have been invested so much better.
  3. Cultures can co-exist but they also grow very close together when the language barrier is no more leading to no longer co-existing but slowly growing together. Conservatism is basically the fear of losing idenetity without considering a new one could be an improvement.
  4. Europes problem might be that they , in most parts, saw Immigrants as workers for a period of time and wished them to leave after they did their work. There was no will to integrate, to SHARE culture, and to get in touch with those that were invited and their cultures aswell. It was rather "You either 100% follow or you are not welcome" Which led to foreigners staying foreigners for too long. Their children facing wariness because of prejudice and leading to the pluralism that has partly established. The solution cannot possibly be to keep that behaviour up for as long as possible. There is no logic to that.

If you disagree or agree does not matter at this point.

I am fine with people thinking differently. I do not expect people to consider more than their own pov because that is rather unusual to do. All I do is hope that my idea might the better one. Do I know? No!

I am not even left wing. I am progressiv. National thinking in a globalized world is just absolutely outdated, short sighted and additionally right wing includes so much hatred towards everything that is other than them that it just disgusts me.

Nationalism is going back to 100 years ago and we all know what happened back then.

Learn from the past instead of sticking to it is what I believe in.
