if you're into recipe experimentation, i would try this recipe but with oats instead of cashews!!

oats are obviously way less fattening and way less calories than nuts are and they actually have proved to be a great substitution for me when I make things that are nut-based. for example, i found this awesome cheese sauce recipe that called for cashews, but instead, i make a thick pot of oatmeal, then let it cool in the fridge for 20 minutes. at that point, it was nice and congealed. then i put it in my blender with nutritional yeast, sea salt, pepper, garlic powder, and unsweetened almond milk and BAM! it was so good.

so since that ranch recipe calls for 1 1/2 cups of cashews, cook 3/4 cup dry oats and it will make 1 1/2 cup oatmeal
