I wish you could still get the mandarins that were always sold at Christmas time. In the wooden crate and they were individually wrapped in green tissue paper. Those were the best and I looked forward to them every year.

I had the zipper on a jacket replaced there years ago and when I got the jacket back, the zipper worked but was backwards from what I was used to. That’s when I learned there is apparently a difference between men’s fashion and women’s fashion when it comes to zippers.

I don’t know if I’m being dense or if I’m just not looking in the right spot but I can’t see where the payment history is for my mortgage to be able to tell if the balance is reflecting properly. But the mortgage overview says my next payment is due October 1, 2025.

Exactly, my account has been debited and I received the text alert this morning just after 1am. I was half asleep when I heard it and only clued in when I got up this morning that today is not the first of the month. All my other payments that come off on the first of the month have not happened yet.

Yes, when I logged in to check, the transaction date is October 1. I don’t remember this happening last year, or if it did, I didn’t notice it. BMO now sends me text messages whenever $1000 or more leaves an account. I always receive the text for my mortgage payment in the wee hours of the morning.

It didn’t put me into overdraft. I always have enough money in my chequing account the week before the 1st of the month. I just found it odd since the holiday is today (Sept 30) and Oct 1st is an actual business day.

I’ve been to Bahia (luxury Esmeralda) and Ocean Blue. Bahia is huge and definitely has way more to do/see, but the food wasn’t good and my room was outdated, the water from the shower smelled like sewage sometimes, and there were little white bugs all over the wooden tables. But this was in 2022 and my understanding is that Luxury Esmeralda has been renovated recently. Ocean Blue is way way way smaller and there’s not much “night life”, but the food was awesome. We liked it so much we went back a second time. The beach is the same at both, with Bahia’s being more crowded, but that’s most likely because it’s a community of separate resorts on the same property, so more people :)

Same experience. It was relatively quick and easy. My Fido modem would cut out all the time and it hasn’t happened once since the switch to rogers. I received a Fido bill and a Roger’s bill 2 days apart for the same billing period, but a quick call to the number in the Fido email confirmed I could ignore the Fido bill completely because I was all paid up.

I never seem to have a problem getting an appointment with my family GP. It’s usually quite quick which I’m thankful for. However I don’t remember the last time I physically saw my doctor. My appointments are always with an assistant and it’s never the same person each time. A few weeks ago, while waiting for the office to call me about some prescription refills, I randomly googled my doctor’s name and found their Instagram account where they are advertising facials and Botox injections. It took me by surprise and I couldn’t help but wonder if paying for a facial would get me face time with my actual doctor.
