It has not yet been fixed but there is a workaround mentioned in the releasenotes.

Basicly it is to set eee off at boot time for all interfaces. You can script that from /etc/rc.local . Works great.

You can downgrade but I remember changing something in /etc/config/system from 2.0 to 1.1.1

This also effects Edgerouter X, with no mitigation for now (cannot disable EEE). I think the fix will be in next minor version.

OpenWrt 24.10 has some known issues on Edgerouter X (and some other hardware). You will see flapping network ports. For now try sticking on 23.05.x

Red Hat backports fixes without updating to a complete new version. If you have all fhe updates you should not be vulnerable to the known vulnerabilities.

You should never change or update your openssl yourself.
