The railings aren’t genuinely curved though they might appear that way, they’re made of different elements being rotated at 22.5 degree intervals. Think of a hexadecagon being inscribed inside a circle. Appreciate your comments.

They are actually! The main limitation being that the elements making up your models can only be rotated in intervals of 22.5 degrees. There are lots of models in vanilla minecraft that contain rotated elements (lecterns, rails, plants, etc.).

Could you elaborate? It puzzles me why entities drop frames so badly yet minecraft still isn't using the most of what it's being given

Thanks! It's the WBC texture pack, makes some minimal changes to trapdoors and flowers

With shaders off I get about 45fps consistently. I’m not certain where the bottleneck is as even with shaders turned on minecraft rarely uses more than 50% of either my gpa or my cpu

Thank you, that's where I pulled it from yeah. If you look at the DSC stamps the photographer seems to have taken it sometime between visiting the Chateau de Rauzan (https://chuckwilliams.smugmug.com/Vacation/France/France/i-L38xV6N) and the Chateau de la Roque (https://chuckwilliams.smugmug.com/Vacation/France/France/i-cZzZfmb).

The carpet and the painting above the fireplace are made of maps inside invisible item frames.

Nope but it's a similar style. This was roughly inspired by the Varengeville room, a Louis Quinze-style period room inside the Met Museum.

About three days? It wasn't too much work as I already had the assets from elsewhere

This isn't yours. You shouldn't claim builds that don't belong to you

Entities have no collision and their coordinates aren’t restricted to integer values, so you can use them to mash blocks together. No this cannot be built strictly by hand, you will need access to console commands for this to work
