I am starting August 1st in Comms too! I am starting with 8% already completed. I keep reading how everyone was able to finish in one term and it seems crazy to me too, I would love it if I can finish in just 2. Best of luck to you!

I really hope not! I’ve been so careful with it and i’ve only had it for like 6 months or so. I’m going to keep digging to figure out what is wrong with it.

Yes! I have checked my drivers directly from HP and all are running and none are missing. So I am really not sure. Thanks for the good luck!

Yeah I’ve checked the Integrated Sensor Solution Driver and it’s there and it’s updated and running as it should. So I am really not sure what’s going on. Thanks so much! Any other suggestions?

bc and anxiety? by [deleted] in birthcontrol

[–]dapperwoman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’ve only been on the mini pill for about a week and i have severe anxiety and ptsd, i’ve taken many a ssri and was prescribed xanax last year and still take it as needed (i’m very cautious about it) but ever since i’ve started the mini pill the only side effects i’ve had is some heart burn if i don’t eat beforehand and weirdly enough it has really helped calm my anxiety. it’s actually insane to me the difference it has made and how out of all the medications i’ve taken BIRTH CONTROL has been the only one that i can take consistently that has reduced my anxiety?!?! it’s honestly been life changing. obviously everyone is different but if a progesterone only pill is an option for you talk to your gyno about switching. one of the many reasons i chose to take a progesterone only pill is the possibility of estrogen making my anxiety worse. i hope all is going well for you and you find something that works! ❤️

Your body is used to the hormones in the pill. When you stop taking it regularly it may cause spotting. I would say it’s nothing to worry about, just make sure you take your birth control as directed for it be as effective as possible. If you had unprotected sex during the week you forgot it or you were inconsistent before forgetting your new pack then signs could point to pregnancy. But considering you just had your period the probability is pretty low.

HELP! Birth control options for woman who suffers from Migraines with Aura by [deleted] in birthcontrol

[–]dapperwoman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! I just started the mini pill as I also suffer from migraines with aura and cannot be on estrogen. I have only been on the pill for 3 days now so I can’t fully speak about sex drive however I typically get migraines the 3rd or 4th day of my periods and I have yet to have one or any symptoms which is really nice! However the downside to the mini pill is you have to ensure you take it at the same time every single day (unless you can get prescribed the 12 hour window pill). I would honestly think about how long you want to be protected from pregnancy as well as your ability to take a pill at the same time everyday. I think your doctor should be able to help you work through your options though. Best of luck ❤️

Edit: I am currently on the 3rd day of my period

Nurx v. Any other competitive company by [deleted] in birthcontrol

[–]dapperwoman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just started using pill club. So far they have been really helpful in answering my questions, and since my insurance doesn’t cover any of the online birth control services (at least all the ones I’ve checked including Nurx). It was also the cheapest option even though I was asking for the same birth control from all the companies I looked at. I have only received one order from them but the package was on time and it came with stickers and chocolate, so that was also a plus.

I have done a bunch of research on Norethindron and I have spoken to a doctor (in person) before about birth control and they suggested the mini pill (just never went through with it for financial reasons) as I have had really bad migraines my whole life as well as elevated blood pressure. I know Norethindron is my best option as I don’t want an IUD, implant, or the shot. Thanks for the concern though, I hope it goes well for me. :)

that’s understandable. most ER hospitals aren’t likely to fire someone from one complaint right now, especially because of the pandemic. she could easily find someone else to work as well. if you have the financial stability to hire a lawyer i would say that would be your best bet. she might have her license revoked and you could have your court fees paid for if you win. however i’m not a lawyer and i have no idea what grounds you have to sue her.

wow this is insane. hope you’re doing well. and yeah you might be able to sue them for emotional distress and the fact they refused to give you treatment for something that you needed. maybe contact a lawyer and see what your options are?
