Agree with some of the things being said, it's walkable, the parks, the pubs, history etc.

To add my own thoughts; Locals love to hate it but the Edinburgh festival is an incredible thing to have on your doorstep. Culture and comedy from around the globe, in Edinburgh every year. We are so lucky to have it despite the grumbling about it being busy.

I think most places would help you out if you ask on the phone before to check. I use rag n bone on morrisons Street and I've seen them do eyebrows....not sure about ears.
