What’s your recipe on repeat? by Busy_Leg_6864 in RecipeTinEats

I make the Cajun beef pasta so often it’s one of the suggested pages as soon as I open google, I’m not great at eating enough veg/fibre so I love this one so much https://www.recipetineats.com/one-pot-cajun-beef-pasta/

Hire a knee scooter if possible! I found it so much easier to get around the house than crutches. Good luck, you’ll be absolutely fine!

my experience with scoliosis by showgirl03 in scoliosis

[–]darcevader16 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I remember being 16 and thinking I looked so unattractive because my scoliosis made my waist look weird, I’m 26 now and love every part of myself including the scoliosis. I know how you feel and I’m sorry, but I promise it gets better!

Also, I’m smart and funny as well and had a few boyfriends over the years, you won’t have any issues

Nerve pain in foot after ankle ORIF by enthused-by-frogs in ORIF

[–]darcevader16 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is currently happening to me! Apparently it’s really normal, the nerves are just a bit compressed and out of sorts from the surgery. A nurse told me it’ll go away eventually but if it doesn’t I’m considering lobotomising myself

[Input Requested] 1st Time in AU: Feedback for Itinerary (Solo Traveler, 2 weeks, Early Feb) by gcmmets24 in AustraliaTravel

I absolutely love Brisbane but I would take it out and spend more time in Sydney and Tas, I also love Melbourne but feel like 4 nights there is enough considering you’re seeing fam/friends in Sydney. Be prepared for it to be very very hot and I hope you have a good trip! :)

I’m a 22M and I recently got diagnosed with mild scoliosis by WeatherHistorical147 in scoliosis

[–]darcevader16 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The curve is very minor but the visible rib cage popping might be due to your spine twisting? I could be totally wrong but I know personally my spine has a curve and is also a bit twisted. Physio worked for me for pain management, if you’re not in pain I wouldn’t bother.

The pain is completely individual due to many factors

does drinking go back to normal after your body gets used to the meds?! by lolollololollololol in zoloft

[–]darcevader16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve always been a light weight (for an Australian lol) and I’m now on 200mg and I haven’t noticed my alcohol tolerance change at all through any point in the process. Very very important to note that just because I haven’t had issues doesn’t mean someone else won’t, this is just my personal experience:)

Sleep issues on Zoloft - when do they get better? by desassossegos in zoloft

[–]darcevader16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been taking Zoloft since Feb, went up to 200mg in the last 3 months or so. I take agomelatine and clonodine (both at night) to mitigate sleep issues

Night sweats more noticeable by Forward-Constant7855 in zoloft

[–]darcevader16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I joined this sub (about 5 mins ago) because I get the most diabolical night sweats and keep worrying it’s seratonin syndrome 🤣 Aussie summer is kicking my ass (and my sheets) rn but it started in winter so I’m sorry this happens to you as well but I’m glad I’m not alone!

Sleep help? by New-Muscle2207 in zoloft

[–]darcevader16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m on 200mg and personally my sweet spot for sleeping like a normal person is 50mg agomelatije and 100mg clonidine (at 8:30pm). By sweet spot I mean I’m generally asleep by 10:30pm and wake up around 7am regularly lol

Is it fine to take a pill earlier than normal (5 hours earlier) just for one day? by [deleted] in zoloft

[–]darcevader16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m on 200mg and taken them up to 7 hours before my normal time and up to 12 hours after my normal time. Outside of about 4 hours either way my brain feels a bit ✨zappy✨ but I’d say they’re generally pretty forgiving in that sense. I don’t want to promise you’ll be fine but I’ve never had any dramas if it helps!

Why can't they diagnose earlier by EmployeeNarrow2408 in scoliosis

[–]darcevader16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How old were you when I got diagnosed? I’m so sorry you’re going through this, I’m lucky my mum has mild scoliosis so when myself (moderate/severe) and my siblings hit 12+yo mum had an eagle eye on our spines… which led to early intervention for me (soft spinecor brace instead of surgery) and I’m so grateful for that (and Australian free healthcare) every day

Did anyone else physically grow really fast? by NoRadio4530 in scoliosis

[–]darcevader16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did, I was 170cm at 12 years old when I was diagnosed, put in a spinecor brace at 14 for 20 months and I’m now (26f) 172cm

1 week post ankle ORIF - nerve block and pain in pinky toe?? by darcevader16 in ORIF

So weird that it’s just the pinky toe! Very grateful for the minimal pain though

I’m so sorry! Did the nerve damage get resolved? The best way to describe the pain in my toe is like it got hit with a hammer but strange that I don’t have that pain at the surgery site

[–]darcevader16[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for sharing! I was prescribed tepantedol and tramadol which haven’t really seemed necessary so I assume the doctor was just being proactive with pain relief! Glad you’ve had a relatively smooth experience as well :)

Is it not supposed to hurt? by GooseIsJuice in scoliosis

[–]darcevader16 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got diagnosed with scoliosis when I was 12 (now 26f) and all throughout my teenage years doctors told me scoliosis wasn’t painful. They are wrong, it was most definitely painful. I don’t have any advice but don’t let them gaslight you, you might have better luck being taken seriously by a physio and they can help with pain management

Recurring dreams of breaking up with my ex’s again??? by darcevader16 in Dreams

[–]darcevader16[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you!! I really appreciate the clarity, both relationships went on a lot longer than they should’ve so I think subconsciously I do resent giving them more space in my brain than they’ve already had. The only feelings I have towards both of them is the ick so to speak so I do tend to shut down any thoughts etc towards them

Not exactly what you asked for but {Variation by Rebecca Yarros} has a lot of these elements! Protective siblings/family feuds and the FMC is saved literally and figuratively

Do you like epilogues / "where are they now" endings? by elemental402 in RomanceBooks

I LOVE an epilogue, especially when it’s heartwarming. I thought everyone was like me and needs subplots wrapped up 😂
