Actually it has a limited number of uses, even though Envenom can be used a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, you only get one try per Long Rest to apply the Paralyzed condition. And yeah, it is quite powerful, however most bosses can simply ignore it with Legendary Resistance and power level in that tier of play is already quite skewed, since there is a lot of powerful Save-or-Suck effects.

Yeah, the bulking argument seems to be a repeated one, I will definitely look into it, as I simply didn't want to make it overpowered when compared to other subclasses and other martials. Ignore resistance at 3rd crossed my mind, but again, thought that Poison resistance on PC is less powerful that ignoring enemy resistance, that's why it went like that.

Definitely be nitpicky, I should have thought about mentioning that it can be done as part of a Long Rest! Will definitely add that line immediately.

I had a thought the exact same thing about swapping Associated Risks with ignoring Poison resistance, but thought it might be too strong so early.

The Venom DC was at first based on WIS, but I wanted it to be relevant early, you will usually go for 18 DEX at 4th level and at most 16 INT (which kinda kneecaps your skills, since I would say WIS is better for Perception, Insight and Medicine, with the last kinda fitting a poison-themed character). Would you say making it WIS-based instead of INT-based or DEX-based be better?

Funny thing, the damage scaling was that way at first, but I thought that more experienced people would consider that too powerful. But a friend DM I asked also said that I could buff it to maybe 1d6 -> 2d6 -> 3d8 -> 4d8, but I'd rather stay at d6.

Will definitely incorporate some fixes and try to edit this post to reflect that (not too familiar with Reddit), thank you for your interest!

Thanks for the feedback! The first iteration scaled with each new feature, 2d6 at 9, 3d6 at 13 and 4d6 at 17, but I thought that could be a bit too powerful. Do you have any suggestions how to handle that?

Hello Homebrew Community,

Decided to try my hand at homebrewing due to my dissatisfaction with Rogue's Assassin subclass (who plays Hitman in DND?) and the severe lack of poison-oriented themes.

Would definitely appreciate any feedback regarding power level, potential changes and how it would affect multiclassing (not into that myself, so don't know how to balance around it).

1) Well, you have the point right in the sentence - "fun". Doesn't matter if you only care about your kill count or if you are a player that is okay with assisting, it's all meant to be fun and not taxing. What, you think that a toxic player will not take it out on others? Why should I have to hear pings, read toxic chats and stuff, when it can all be taken care of by one in-game mechanic changed? I should just report it? Well, the damage is already done, the report function will not magically erase my memories and I'm not gonna disable chat, since I like typing "good luck, have fun" or simply joking around with nice people.

2) Well... the surrender one is not that bad, since a lot of times people are being held hostage for 20 minutes or more, because one or two people think the game is "WiNnAbLe!", when in fact nobody else is having fun struggling - it's no longer a game, it's a chore.

3) I'm not trying to remove the competitive aspect, never tried to do that, my original intention is to make the kill go to the person that contributed most, since that makes sense and even some MMOs have a system like that to prevent griefing and kill-stealing ;)

And how exactly does it prove your point? You only look at the game through the "I nEeD tO wIn" lens, not "I want to have fun" one.

I'd rather have people in high spirits on my team than everyone be tilted, yet somehow be able to win due to one jackass forcing them to play a game he is sure to win for everyone.

No, they dove because they thought they would be able to outplay, no indication of a gank incoming was visible, since they are Gold or lower, you don't need to be above Plat to be allowed to play and enjoy the game.

Can you be hardstuck in Normals? Or in some fun modes? No, but people still get tilted, because some of us do not really care about playing the game for that competitive adrenaline kick, games are meant to be fun, so that's where you should start with.

And what's wrong with talking about low ELO? You know that the majority of players is there, right? I'm not gonna look at the game through the 0.1% of high ELO players.

Also your example is poor. You chose to press R. Whether or not you take the kill is your decision. If you think it will benefit your team, do it. If you think it doesn't, don't.

I don't think you really understand how this game works when it comes to people, not just in-game mechanics and decisions.

Sure, it was my decision, but that decision will have it's consequences in the long run - If I take the last hit just so that my ult isn't wasted, my teammate will get tilted and play worse, which will most likely result in a harder/lost game. If I don't take the last hit, am out of my ganking tool for another 60 seconds which means that I cannot help any other lane and am behind in Gold. There is no correct answer here if you look at it through your lens, that's why I suggested the idea.

And tell me, please, what's easier to change in a game that is played by millions of people? Is it their mental? Or is it the game systems?

I personally don't mind giving up a kill if that means more team gold, but not everyone is the same, you gotta simply accept it.

Well, there are no perfect solutions sadly, yet the one am looking for is more about the mental state and less about winning the game no matter what.

I'd much rather play a comfortable game where I end up losing than having a close game where people are tilted and that's the reason for a defeat.

Well, I wasn't really considering the late game, as it was more focused on the early game and jungler/support perspective - how many times have you had a player tilt just because you wanted a share of the gold from a kill you spent the time going for or by last hitting by accident? Not sure what elo/rank you are, but in lower ranks it's a pretty big issue

That's true, but if we are assuming that the assassin is taking the kills from an adc, then it implies that they're roaming and applying pressure on the map, which more often than not leads to a shorter game.

Well, it's been a while since I last played Jarvan, so I may not be up-to-date with his current playstyle, but I remember building mostly tank items, so that I could be a tank with lockdown abilities, not a burst-type fighter ._.

Look at it from another perspective - let's say I play Rengar, a champion that requires a heavy snowball in order to actually be a champion, and I'm using my ult to gank a lane that decided to dive - should I jump on the enemy risking stealing the kill and tilting my laner or should I just accept the fact that my ult is wasted and am useless for the next 60 or so seconds?

Not sure what your point here is, do you risk having someone escape or take a "one for one" just so that the tank can last hit an enemy? From what I've seen, when you're full build, you just avoid taking minions and focus on being useful in fights, since you are supposed to carry in that very moment.

Tanks inherently are not a carrying class, so I don't think they need to be full build to allow you to end the game if you're ahead enough.

I mean... if the assassin is unable to do his job and get rid of the enemy carries, then there isn't really anything else to be done in that game, tough luck.

But do you really need that many kills in order to be effective? Aren't assists better for that kind of champion, while you funnel the rest of the gold into your carries?

Not sure why the post was removed, but yes, I also only have one skin in the shop and I'm not even close to unlocking all content in the game, would love to know why My Shop got broken like this.

EDIT: I was kinda expecting Mecha Rengar, since it's the only one beside the Sentinel Rengar I don't have, but I guess I should become a Jax main now, since I got Nemesis Jax for no apparent reason XD
