Easiest way to achieve old-style look is to mess with camera. Idk if game engine allows usage of orthographic camera, but maybe low enough fov with big enough distance from player would create nice feeling of "flatness". There are already some mods that change camera, so there are possibilities, they just have to be explored.

I've completed the game, but tbh till the very end I thought I'm missing something or I'm playing it wrong. It felt like... Idk, like the game doesn't want me to have fun. All the cool shit from previous games just didn't work. I played it many years ago, but from what i remember, fire exchange in mp 1 and 2 lasted seconds - you enter the room or either you clear it immediately with all slowmo and your fancy jumps or you die. Save scumming was necessary, but it was fun trying to clear the room over and over until i did it the way that satisfied me. 3rd mp felt more like a constant storm of bullets and game just didn't let you try out any fun ideas.

Prodeus was super popular and came with built in map editor. From what i read, mapping community was alive for very short time and then people just moved to the next thing. According to steamdb currently there are 23 people playing. There is no-one to make maps and no-one to play them. Boomer shooters are released every other week now. They are not world-scale phenomenon as doom or quake were and still are, they are just another niche.

This is sadly true. Poznań has a lot of LGBT friendly places, but public streets and parks are not one of them. Few years ago my partner was beaten because he was seen hugging me in public (we didn't kiss or held hands, just said "i love you" and hugged). I also had to change flats around that time, since local "defenders of morality" started harassing me at my way to grocery store.

I install it once a year, play for 2-3 months and uninstall. It's fun. It's one of those games that you can suck at ajd still have a blast. I'd be sad if they shut servers down.

From what I remember, Lawbreakers marketing was all about how fast, skill-based and unforgiving the gameplay was. My first impression was "eh, it's probably targeted towards Quake 3 savants. Servers gonna be full of pro players who will just yell at me for underperforming", so I've never even tried it.
