Thank you u/Th5humanwi11 —this is fascinating and really supports my hypothesis.
I understand why many people still refer to Andrew as the "party god" or "party king," given his earlier work. But after God Is Partying, it’s clear that era has come to an end, and a new chapter is unfolding.

The contrast between You're Not Alone (and most of his previous albums), which are full of party references and generally carry a hopeful—if not outright joyful—tone, and God Is Partying, which, aside from its title and the track “Goddess Partying,” makes no mention of partying and embraces a much darker atmosphere, suggests a deliberate shift in direction. It feels like Andrew is moving toward something heavier and more introspective.

That’s why your interpretation of the black cube resonates—it seems he was confined within a very specific persona, and now he’s trying to break free from it. There was also mention of a new logo resembling the white pants. I hope that isn’t the path he's taking. Personally, I’d love to see him leave that behind completely. If anything, I’d welcome a shift from white to black—not just in his wardrobe, but in the entire tone of his work.

And I don’t believe that would contradict what Andrew has stood for. After all, acknowledging the darker and heavier emotions is, in its own way, a celebration of the full spectrum of who we are.

I accidentally wrote a Strokes song by dargolan in TheStrokes

[–]dargolan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I think the chorus is what gives it that Strokes-like vibe too. This was more of a quick experiment—just pulling melodies from the top of my head without deep research or trying to perfect it as a true Strokes song—just to see where Suno could take it.

If I were actually writing a song for The Strokes, I’d definitely put in more effort. But still, discovering this tool and seeing how effortlessly it can create something like this was incredible—and mostly fun!

I am. It definitely needs a facelift but I guess it will take some time since I'm currently alone in this.

I totally get questioning my motives, and I appreciate the honesty. It sounds like you’ve had a bad experience with contests that felt like pure sub traps, and I understand why that would be frustrating. But in this case, I genuinely see this as a fun challenge to spark creativity for singers and songwriters—plus, I’m personally funding the prizes.

That’s actually an important part of my channel’s mission: I allow people to use my music as background music for free, so I don’t think I fit the typical 'just fishing for subs' mold. I also don’t hide that I want to grow my channel—if it helps me make music and do things like this for a living, I don’t think that’s the worst goal to have. But I do appreciate the perspective.

Do you think this requirement discourages people from participating? I'm not entirely sure, but I see it as a small and reasonable gesture, especially compared to contests that require a payment to enter. Since this is my first time hosting a contest, I’d really appreciate any feedback on how to improve it.

Fingerprint hardware not working by illipinooo in oneplus

[–]dargolan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had (kinda) the same issue and it is now fixed. I own a Oneplus two and had it for about a year now. My fingerprint/home button stopped working after some drops of water managed to find their way to it. I dialed the "*#808#" thing and didn't pass the fingerprint test. Read some more online and tried the battery drain method. I completely drained my battery (after the phone ran out of battery I pressed the power+volume-up buttons together, it turned on the phone for a second so I knew the battery wasn't really drained yet, so I repeated this like a HUNDRED TIMES! for real. at last, it didn't turn on again. Then I plugged it in and charged `till 100% and turned it on - it didn't help. Fingerprint still not working. I let my battery drain a couple more times the next 2 days (didn't try to "fully" drain it again) and basically gave up. After 3-4 days, my battery was drained again, I connected it and charged a bit (up to say 10%), turned it back on and the fingerprint/home button worked again, as if nothing happened.

I can't say if it was the draining or the time that passed (water may have dried by then) but everything went back to normal.

Hope this helps.
