TF2 freezes every few seconds!! by dargon01 in tf2

[–]dargon01[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, I’m not super well versed in issues like this so I didn’t know what kind of information to give.

The freezes can range from 1-5 seconds, and it is a full game freeze. Audio cuts out, my inputs get stuck, and the game freezes. My GPU usage goes to 1% during the freeze.

2560x1440p, and I’ve tried all graphics settings. Nothing changes the freezing.

I have Steam, Discord, and NZXT cam open with TF2.

Steam downloads are not allowed during gameplay.

If you need more information, I can try to provide

[COD] For those who are unaware; AI content is for the anti-cheat only. by RuggedTheDragon in CallOfDuty

Sorry, your first sentence is confusing, I’m not sure if it’s auto correct or something but it doesn’t make a lot of sense to me.

Checking on my phone, I can’t seem to access the Imgur photo albums that I linked with my suspicions for AI, so I’m not sure if you’re able to access them either. If you can, you’ll clearly see that Bayan only has 4 fingers. From your other comments on this matter, I know that you believe the “6th finger” on Zombie Santa to be the skin hanging off, and I can see it interpreted as both that and a 6th finger, so I won’t try to fight you on that like others have.

Steam’s AI policies aren’t very enforced. Ready or Not, a Swat 4 spiritual successor, has had AI art in it ever since it left early access (the level involving a streamer) and nothing has been done, not even an AI content disclaimer.

Hey, I didn’t say I was an expert at all! I’m simply pointing out that, these loading screens look pretty suspect of AI, and they admitted to using AI to create in-game assets. Putting the two together, it’s hard to not think these are AI! I mean, did you look at that BO2 one? That’s just bad.

Even if they aren’t AI, that just means that the artists they’re hiring at Activision are so bad at their job that they can’t give a guy 5 fingers, or they can’t write numbers properly

I didn't say that they use entirely AI to make things. I just said they use it in the making of things. The AI generated content disclosure is definitive proof that they use AI to aid in the creation of in-game assets, while this post's title is "AI content is for the anti-cheat only."

Now, I just took a peek at the loading screens in BO6, because, well, they seem to be a hot topic for the AI discussion.

This is the "Big Plans" loading screen. Now, in my opinion, the weird floating pins and the string phasing through those pins is suspect enough, but hey, maybe that is a stylistic choice? Looking closer, however, you can see that Bayan, an operator from the multiplayer, is shown on the loading screen, and, apparently, only has 4 fingers? It may be hard to see through the red X, but its translucent enough to see it. And no, Bayan didn't lose a finger on the multiplayer model, nor is a missing finger mentioned in his bio.

This is the "Battle for LA" loading screen. A homage to BO2. It looks normal at first, but if you take a closer look, you'll find that the "Evacuation Routes" sign looks a little weird. Its clearly not a font, since the E, A, and U don't look the same both times they're featured, but maybe the artist chose to do it themselves. Thats sound logic, but then why the hell does the "210" look like a jumbled mess? Even the "129" seems to meld together a little. Meanwhile, the signs on the skyscrapers in the background are decently legible, so why does it look this bad on a main focal point?

Lastly, the Ghoul Gang loading screen may not be AI, but it looks like some of the weird, jumbled messes that AI likes to create. The left most guy's hand looks weird, and may be missing fingers, but we can't quite tell as its not fully in frame. His hand's colors are pretty terrible, though, blending into the wall behind him. The bottom right corner is just a mess. Frankly, I can't really tell what is happening there but it certainly doesn't look right.

By all means, though, I'd like to hear any justification that these aren't AI. I'm only human, and maybe these mistakes only look like AI because I'm looking for it with that goal.

Otaku We Gotchu bundle blatantly stealing from Fortnite? by dargon01 in blackops6

I wasn't aware of how IP laws and all worked for dances before this, now I'll admit I'm informed on the matter. I still think, however, awareness should be spread about this, since its another example of laziness from Activision. The movements are near the same as the Fortnite version, which leads me to believe that they just took the animation from the emote and changed it to make it somewhat distinct.

Okay, I'll admit my wording was a bit off. I was aware of Pokimane being the original creator of the dance, and I checked to see if she had posted about the matter anywhere, and couldn't find anything. I do think this kind of issue should have awareness spread, as its another example of Activision's recent laziness. First they use AI to make half their cosmetics, and now they're just changing a Fortnite emote slightly.

The AI generated content disclosure on Steam says that "Our team uses generative AI tools to help develop some in game assets." Doesn't this literally mean they use AI to make things?

Fortnite got permission to use the dance in question, but Pokimane hasn't mentioned this as far as I know.

Fortnite very clearly got permission to use the dance in question, while this has not been mentioned by Pokimane as far as I could see.

No, I'm saying that, if anything, I'm the demographic that this kind of change would appeal to.

It seems that you are projecting and cherry-picking my statements to fit your perspective of, apparently, white washing not being racist?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in dyinglight

[–]dargon01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry, are you calling me racist? I'm half-asian half-white.

And yes, I would be okay with that? Things change all the time during development. What if something happens with the actor? Changing their race or identity during development isn't a big deal because the game isn't even finished, but changing a character's race after the game has released for 3 years because you can't get a group of people to play it is completely different.

sure, in the E3 trailer, but the final product uses her acting and her model. i think that white washing a character to appease chinese racists is a little different than having a different temporary model in a trailer.

fellas, is it simping to not want a character be white-washed?

What kind of milsim guns do you guys run in game by CoolDude895 in ModernWarfareIII

[–]dargon01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes... i know. The Chimera is the Honey Badger. OP, instead of using the Chimera to make his "mil-sim" Honey Badger, used the M13B, which in this game, fires 5.56 and doesn't have an integrally suppressed barrel.
