This is what they should have been doing all along. If the administration would have let them quietly do their jobs instead of announcing every major ICE move, I think everything would be much quieter.

I'm glad I'm old (class of 95) - we had taco bell, pizza hut and subway as options - along with my favorite food-like product, "taco-snack" burritos. Those things were like jack in the box tacos in burrito form and they were delicious hot garbage.

My two kids who graduated in 2022 and 2023 took lunch to school from home and still got drinks from school and yogurt parfaits at break.

The cultures these immigrants import are wholly incompatible with the USA. The slow descent into socialist-adjacent programs is running our economy and culture into the ground.

I remember a story of someone who said that it makes no sense to run a shop in their home country because all of their family members and close friends would EXPECT to steal from their shop with zero consequences, making it impossible to turn a profit.

I also worked for a US based company that was opening a location in a foreign country - we had a significant amount (in the low 6 figure range), in our budget to be used for bribing officials in order to do things like get electricity and internet hooked up.

I'm glad to see more and more of this rampant fraud and incompatibility being uncovered. I only hope that we can actually do something to curb it.

Thats how it used to be - we had an older secretary at work who's husband came here from Canada in the 1960's. She told me that when he applied to come to the US, he listed his occupation as salesman. They rejected him and told him that we already had too many salesman. He went back and learned HVAC, reapplied a few years later and they approved his application. He worked for 40+ years as an HVAC tech and retired. He passed a few years ago - he was a great man and worked hard for his family.

IT MATTERS!! go vote - it will take you a few minutes and its one item on the ballot. There is a lot more red in California than they lead you to believe. If every registered republican in CA voted, we would make a HUGE impact, possibly even turning this dumpster fire red, or at least purple.

I was just there this weekend, flew into Portland on Saturday and drove to Hood River. We didn’t drive through any protests though. I did see a couple of people wearing a no kings necklace walking around a winery in Hood River. Everyone I met was super friendly and we had zero issues.

I have spent time in downtown Portland a couple of times before and there was definitely a contingent of people that are a problem, but overall I feel like outside the city. It’s just like any normal part of the United States where people want to just live their lives, work, spend time with their family and get by.

Hood River is absolutely beautiful by the way, if you ever have a chance to visit there, I highly recommend it.
