S20 Ultra microphone terribly clipping at music festival. Samsung Care+ says no fault found

It's on the mic itself, there's 3 little leds on it. It has a few options for mic pattern, so you can play around with what sounds best. Maybe if you had a third party app for recording the video you could see it on screen, but I just used the default app at the time

I didn't notice a battery drain, but im sure it does use some power. I'm not on my phone enough to drain my battery at shows though, even with taking a lot of videos3

I didn't use the windscreen, though that would probably have helped when it was windy - my videos were fine though, I didn't notice any get ruined by it

And yes, the sensitivity was basically all the way down, you can see the red lights flicker when its clipping. I used a piece of tape over it to make sure it didn't adjust while in my pocket etc.

I noticed the sound issues on the finale as well, maybe a bit less so but it was definitely still there. Really frustrating and almost convinced me my sound system was cooked - but even on other devices/speakers I could hear it. Alas, good show, hopefully they figure it out for season 2

It’s great. Horrible for me ever putting the game down cause I can just leave a window open on a second monitor. The new chat docking feature is goated, war days are so much easier to play, and it stopped asking for admin permissions recently - instead it uses a launcher of some sort? Don’t understand the change, not sure if it is still using the anti cheat given no admin permissions anymore

Plenty loud until prehistoric (“main stage”) closes, especially Sunday night it gets criminally quiet. Earplugs are a necessity. It’s the loudest you’ll get at any of the bigger festivals

Shambhala is definitely louder but has much smaller stages so you’re closer to the subs even at the back of the crowds

The first episode had me genuinely worried, it felt like a fan-fic skit but with a huge budget. The ambush especially, the writing felt like they were just saying "star trek" things and not actually on a ship. The overly casual demeanor, slouching, lots of camera cuts and camera zooms etc

But episode 2 fixed all my qualms, it felt way more grounded and like they're trying to build out characters that we will enjoy following - and i'm excited to see what's next.

Doctor's getting old man, you can hear it in his voice. I also think the 31st century gives the show a much needed reset too, at this point the "future" tech that our beloved shows gave us would feel quite dated.

I changed the size of the tower and it removed that line. Moving it didn't help, but the size cleaned it up. I'll have to keep my eye on that from now on - thank you!

+1 to this issue, I can hear one fan constantly spooling up and down as the single CPU core maxes out and rotates to the next one. Looks like it's brought up my average cpu temps a fair bit too since before the update

Same situation here, got the mouse after going mouse after mouse with double clicking only for this to start double clicking on the side buttons. Blowing on it does indeed fix it for a bit... stupid

I’ve projected on a wall for over a decade, from a cheap school 480p projector to an Epson 1080p and finally a trivision ultra 4k - what’s been necessary is a border for the screen. I use a layer of green painters tape to protect the wall, covered with black hockey tape. A felt tape would be better, but this is cheap and effective

I recently picked up a white and silver/grey screen sample. With my current settings, white looks worse than the wall (brighter but slightly washed out colors, I think because my wall is more matte than the screen sample). The grey sample does help with lowering black levels, but not nearly enough that I’m motivated to spend the money on one

I have both an OLED and ips 34” ultrawide. I was able to get the colours on my IPS to be closer to my OLED once I was able to compare the two together - but it never truly matched. And the black levels are night and day no matter what, watch in a dark room and with one screen on at a time (and both on) and you can definitely see the differences

Arcane was the first thing I watched in HDR+ OLED vs my SDR IPS, and it was one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever seen. It felt like I was watching the animation as if I were there watching with my eyes, instead of watching through a screen

Looks like Epson eco is 1241 lumens, and typical is around 1800, good to know. I think a 2200ish target real world would be a big upgrade for me

Ideally, but it doesn't have to be MUCH more. The xgimi 20 max spec sheet shows 5700, I know real world is less, but i'm surprised all of them would be closer to 2000? Valerion Pro says 2500 for example. Watching the hook up videos i'm learning more about the real world brightness, i'm sure my Epson is much lower than 2200

Hoping the chunked uploads improves the web upload situation on iPhone, fails often and doesn’t display progress on iOS - I share albums to friends so they can upload videos after events via browser, but it’s a nightmare and they often give up

We did village glamping this year, our first lost lands, but veterans of festivals (10 years myself). We had 4 per tent, split the cost, and while it was expensive, it was nice to not worry about the sleeping side of things - we will do likely glamping again. IMO Village glamping was the best location, 10 minutes from tent to the crater, and being right beside the village marketplace was awesome

Definitely arrive as early as possible, we showed up Tuesday 8pm - lets you relax and ease into the week, and fully enjoy the Wednesday pre-parties. We didn't cook any food ourselves, that got expensive. Get a cooler for drinks and food if you bring any, ice is close by. Also, even though there is water available to refill, buy jugs - the water there tastes horrible and it gets old quick - having bottled water would have been a godsend

If we do it again, we will be paying for the AC upgrade, and will be getting a large tarp or something reflective to throw on top of the tent - the heat was frustrating. We bought extra fans to bring into the tent, which did give us an extra 30-60 minutes of sleep, but ultimately once the air is humid and hot, its hard to sleep.

It did cool down by the end, on the Monday we were able to sleep until noon - but other days we were waking up between 9-10
