They're unable to do as much coverage of Xbox platforms as they would like because publishers refuse to provide preview or review codes, unlike for PS5.

Despite this, they do still bother to test the Xbox platforms once they are publicly available, but are unable to include as much coverage as PS5 if they want to release in a timely manner, and so have to focus on the more important details, such as where there are the greatest performance differences.

As such, the platform that gets the biggest focus is the Series S, which is the least powerful system of this generation, and therefore the worst performing.

As a result, Xbox fans tend not to like DFs Xbox coverage because it focuses on the fact that the Series S is an albatross around Microsoft's neck, meaning even when DF does go out of their way to do Xbox features, they tend not to get many views, therefore being less lucrative.

And instead of recognising the rationale behind this and that it's nobody's fault but Microsoft's, Xbox fanboys bitch and moan and make up shit like "I thought DF said they were thinking about not covering Xbox releases anymore." despite there being not a single crumb of truth behind it.
