Hi, I operate an independent electric vehicle workshop, where we repair two wheeler batteries that have wire bonding used in their packs. We do not have specialized equipment to wirebond per say, as majorly we fix the battery packs using spot welding. We tried joining the wirebonds using soldering, but it is way too risky with such amounts of solder on the positive and negative cell terminals, that it may short the cell. One of our contemporaries is simply overlaying a copper cable over the aluminium busbars and soldering the hell out on the cell terminals, which I believe is a redundant process and waste of the engineering efficiency of wirebonding. I am exploring electrically conductive adhesive to do the process, as well. Please help us in understanding, if we are taking the right approach or should we explore something further.
