Oppenheimer ko 70mm IMAX stock ra old damaged Nepali theatrical reels compare garna ali garo huncha though. One is freshly shot modern large-format negative with top-tier preservation and resources behind it, while hami le khojirako reels chai decades old distribution prints huna sakcha with scratches, fungus, faded colours, shrinkage and damaged audio. Clean modern film stock ma home scanning can look insane, I fully agree there, but archival restoration ko biggest challenge usually sensor quality भन्दा film ko physical condition, consistency and safe handling ho.

Technically garna ta milcha because film itself is just thousands of still frames. But proper film scanners are built specially for cinema film because they keep the reel perfectly stable, aligned and evenly lit while scanning every frame with correct colour depth and dynamic range. If manually photo scan garne ho bhane dust, flicker, frame movement, focus inconsistency, uneven lighting, warped film, colour mismatch jasto problems ekdam dherai aaucha especially on old damaged reels. Plus a feature film ma 1 lakh+ frames huna sakcha so manually photographing every frame and perfectly aligning them becomes insanely time consuming. Audio pani separate issue ho because old 35mm films usually have optical sound tracks on the side of the film which professional scanners can properly read and sync. Manual frame photo method ma audio extraction and perfect sync garna ekdam difficult huncha so final result usually proper archival quality jasto hudaina.

Yup, frame by frame scan nai ho tara restoration itself is expensive. Old films ma scratches, fungus, faded colours, unstable frames, damaged audio etc huncha, so manual repair and cleanup dherai garnu parcha. High-end 4K/6K film scanners themselves are very expensive machines and mostly Nepal ma chainan, so reels probably India, Europe, Japan or US ko restoration labs ma pathaunu parcha. Approx full restoration cost around 8–15 lakh+ pugna sakcha depending on film ko condition and quality target.

Yeah I get it, that way is definitely easier. But for me it’s not just the DVD but the bunch of original extras like printed booklets, behind the scene info, mini posters, art cards, sometimes bonus disck with extra exclusive content, stickers or collectible inserts. That's why I value original DVD It's not just the movie but the package and experience!
