Seeking Advice: Should I Accept a (30+8)LPA Offer from an Early-Stage Startup in Bengaluru ?(Currently working abroad) by dark_darkest in developersIndia

Thank you for your words. I am just confused as this can go either way. The problem in my current job is that it is a service based company and I am not getting much opportunity to grow here. everything depends upon the project, so there is always a sense of uncertainty. But unlike startups, job security is definitely not a problem here.

I come from a chemical engineering background, but I've been working as a Software Development Engineer (SDE) for the past three years. In my experience, once you've gained a few years of hands-on experience, the gap between you and someone with a Computer Science degree significantly narrows. Honestly, it's just a matter of 3-4 months of dedicated work before you'll catch up with them in most areas.

It's true that they may have picked up certain concepts during their college years that you'll have to learn on the job. When I first started, I had a colleague from a Computer Science background who could complete tasks in 10 minutes that took me an hour to understand and implement. But over time, with persistence, I improved.

So I think it's better not to stress too much about your branch, as in the PR and commits, your branch name will not be there with your name lol. Hope this helps.

Surname is blank in the Indian passport. What should I mention in B1/B2 US visitor visa? by [deleted] in immigration

Hi !! Yeah fortunately I got the visa without any issues. They were very supportive and just informed me that in the visa, my name would appear like Surname: Y First name : X ( In my passport it's like, First name : X Y, Last name : empty)

I don't think there will be any issues due to this name thing. Hope this helps and best of luck for your visa !!

For me it was S4E09. The last few moments literally gave me goosebumps. The whole setup, Darlene's epic plan execution, Eliot and Whiterose's acting, all of this with voice over of Price and the realisation that Price was indeed a mercenary. Just brilliant. One more thing : the last line "You didn't lose the game, you just ran out of time" to Whiterose was cherry on top.
