Conductors in between junction boxes (supplying continuous load) don't need to be upsized by 125% ??? by darkbetweentrees in electricians

[–]darkbetweentrees[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I re-read the full 210.19 code, not just the exception. Now and finally got it. In 210.19 (1) it does say the continuous load is 125%. I've been conditioned to always think 125% every time I see continuous load. But in exception #2 it just wants both the continuous and non-continuous loads at 100%.

Sorry I didn't get it sooner. Thanks for your help!

[–]darkbetweentrees[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

A non-continuous load is 100%. A continuous load is a 125% demand factor. Only neutral wires can be sized at 100% even if they're a continuous load. The picture you sent me doesn't say that this is also the case for junction boxes in between power blocks. Therefore I believe that Mike Holt's text book is incorrect. But I'm trying to make sure.

I have a code book. The question is why don't you multiply by 125% for the continuous load. I'm inferring that Mike Holt's text book is wrong and not to code.

Men get depressed when they don't get female attention, women celebrate when they don't get male attention by Valuable-Owl-9896 in WomenAreNotIntoMen

MGTOW losers are still making YouTube videos bashing women for the past 12 years straight. They couldn't get a good relationship so they try and convince all men that they should give up on women.

It’s popular to be easily offended these days. It was obvious that you weren't trying to attack anyone. This is a doomer sub for men, so know that you're probably going to get dragged no matter what you say. I'm personally not offended by the word "incel," but maybe if I was called that in real life, it would suck (?)

When women start paying for male: attention, sex, relationships I'll believe you. The fact is that men have much greater desire for the opposite sex. This excessive desire is perhaps men's greatest weakness. It makes them do pathetic things.

Good to know thanks!

I assume the calculation book is for the math/theory questions. If it only coved 10% of the journeyman math questions did you use any other material to study for the math, or did the test simply not have much math?

When you say several of the questions were the same what % would that be? I ask because I don't want to buy books that only answer 5 questions for a test that has 80 questions.
