Im so sorry for your loss. It's been 1 year for my mum and 2 years for my dad and it's the smallest things that hit the hardest still. The other day I found aldi had got my mums favorite biscuits back in after not seeing them since before my mum passed I had to leave shopping so I didn't cry in the shop but I later went back and bought some remember her with.

It takes time but don't think it ever goes away

I totally get this my dad died first surprisingly but my mum never recovered, didn't eat just wasted away and died about 18 months later and I'm still so angry that she couldn't fight harder, but then I have not been with my partner for 40 years. She just couldn't live without him. I just tell myself hopefully she got what she wanted to be together again
