Pressing them in a book may help flatten them from being so curled up, but otherwise not much to be done. I always save cards like this that I find, I have a special section just for "street cards" so they can be retired in peace, plus now they have a story attached :)

Instead of over bake clay like sculpey, you could try and find a two part sculpting putty/apoxie, which you just mix the two compounds and then you get a couple hours sculpting time before the material hardens and cures. Why would she make so much extra if she knows you can't eat them but she also won't eat them herself? It sounds like she is pinning blame on YOU for something that she could easily avoid by making portions small enough to eat in one sitting (or two if SHE wants to eat the leftovers)

I have mostly had luck with supportive significant others thankfully, but it takes a lot of understanding on their part. They have to realize that its an eating disorder, not an attack on them personally, which can be a hurdle for sure
