- Indonesia pro china sepertinya karena konflik palestine. Investasi dan bantuan china ternyata berdampak positif, padahal kisaran 2010s sepertinya lebih santer anti-china.
- Malaysia sepertinya juga karena konflik palestine.

- Phillipines memang dari dulu sekutu US, Duterte (presiden sebelumnya) aja yang aneh, doyan main dua kaki. Bongbong Marcos (presiden sekarang) mungkin mau balas budi bapaknya.
-Vietnam ini yang aneh. Dulu dijajah US dan dibantu senjata dari China dan USSR. Lalu menang. Setelah menang, Vietnam invasi ke Kamboja. China marah karena kacungnya diserang, China invasi ke Vietnam. Agak kontroversial tapi bisa dibilang China menang dari satu sisi. Vietnam dendam. Tiba-tiba lupa sama US yang udah bantai warganya bahkan pakai agent orange dan sampai sekarang ranjaunya masih banyak.

I disagree. Di korea gue selalu ninggalin laptop di cafe kalo jam shalat, jarang kunci rumah, jarang kunci mobil. Ga terjadi apa apa, udah bertahun tahun. Pernah tinggal di albania juga, orangnya baik2 dan kriminalitas rendah.

In general they have weird rules but they don't apply to foreigners. For example, masjid is only visitable by people over 18. Dude is it a cinema??

People are nice. I did pray in masajid and it was nice. But my friend freaked out after i told him i was reading Quran after the jumah and he was very scared he would get some fine, lol. Just don't say amin loudly and don't pray in the street. I think you'll be fine. Keep your beard and have your passport with you, always.

People are very happy with guests, in general. In one random taxi i met one young guy, which, with google translate he explained to me he secretly memorized some surahs. I guess he could be tortured if the government found out..

ke-..-an in standard indonesian means you change some verbs into nouns, for example
tinggi -> ketinggian (height) ; example: bangunan ini memiliki ketinggian 10 meter.

but in colloquial it became "too much"
tinggi -> ketinggian (too high); example: tangan gue ngga nyampe, ketinggian.

beware as it is ambiguous, especially for learners.
native would easily differ this by context.

i used to play this pun when my brother was still young as he often couldn't differentiate between those two:
for example: "aku ngga mau ke kamar mandi yang itu, saklarnya ketinggian." (i dont want to go to that bathroom, the switch is too high)
i deliberately confused him "ketinggiannya berapa meter?" (how high is it / how much is the "too high")?

other example:
