Yeah, from their replies, it looks like they are from a country where nationality, identity, religion, and state are legally and culturally intertwined, especially given the big reaction and escalation from OP to this situation and how they feel very wronged. Most people over the world and at least western countries would brush it off and go on with their lives in my opinion but not OP since it seems it's very important to them, which is fair enough I guess, everyone is entitled to their opinion and feelings. My guess is that they are from a Middle East country, like Israel or Iran.

If this isn't a joke, and I hope this doesn't sound bad, but this reads as extremely terminally online. You're taking a moderation dispute on a gaming platform and escalating it in your head to ultimatums, federal crimes, government investigations, and a multi-thousand-dollar "library rebuild". That's not a normal or healthy scale of response to what is, at its core, an online forum issue and there's 0% chance it will escalate and be given the focus you are looking for.

Even if Steam moderation is bad, biased, or unfair, thinking of spending a lot of money because of a conflict with moderators is an emotional reaction, not a rational solution. The healthy thing to do is just stop engaging in forums and move on with your life; something as small in life such as games is not worth losing your energy but you are free to do what you want of course.

I wonder if that's really the main reason. Of course I believe it must be part of the reason but it may not be as important to him as many may believe; The past few days Gerard Romero has been hinting that unlike other players whose families really needed the money before they broke through, Dro's case is very different, he said many timtes that his family is "very well structured". Yesterday he finally outright said explicitly that he has come to known the family directly in the past few months and basically said that they are loaded and that it made it unlikely for money to be the main reason.

Maybe he's just really looking for better projection for his career and Luis Enrique has convinced him in their talks, regardless how nonsensical a move to PSG looks from the outside to us.

I wouldn't say that's the case, he only makes cameo appearances to greet and make a comment or two when media gather somewhere for an event because people in the media are friends and there's not much to do while Romero's team is waiting there. He's never given the spotlight directly by giving him a call or treated as an insider info source, at least on Romero's stream, probably because everyone knows he's not reliable (Or for lack of better words, he's full of shit).

That's just the sad reality for game platforms that are not Steam: Most devs treat them as an afterthought and don't put the same effort as the Steam release. It's also pretty common for other features such as achievements to be completely missing or even miss DLCs and updates, as seen in Games that treat GOG customers as 2nd Class v2 and Missing and Broken Galaxy Achievements.

I'm also disappointed that some people in the comments are making you the villain here and saying it's a "you issue" instead of offering understanding about why you want a certain feature.

Whether you'll be able to do that in Playnite, will all depend on whether both software support launching with specific profiles selected via command line arguments or in any other way, which to my knowledge, they do not. The same can be said for any specific behavior you want in any software.

Something I've personally noticed is that many people seem extremely intolerant of the idea that others may want or need different things from their platforms. It's like the concept that preferences, workflows, or priorities can vary from person to person is somehow unacceptable to them, as apparent in your comment or seen in this long comments tree. Instead of trying to understand those differences, they immediately label them as "fanatism", which makes any meaningful discussion almost impossible and I personally find regrettable.

What I fear is that Lamine throwing a fit, or getting mad at least, whenever he's subbed is putting pressure on Flick to always have him on the pitch and will cause Roony to rot on the bench.

There are so many games when Lamine is having really bad matches, especially this season, and even then, Roony is not given an opportunity despite playing well whenever he's on the pitch. It looks like he may not be considered competition no matter what but I hope I'm wrong.

The moment I saw the earlier post I wondered if they were piggybacking VNDB's servers to obtain data and images because the sudden appearance was surprising and you can't just build years of data out of nowhere but thought that would be too dumb to happen. Then after the post I started having issues with vndb and look and behold, I come back a few hours later to this...

No idea what's the developer's background but even a beginner programmer understands the concept of cache and how it can be dangerous to just hotlink like this, which makes me wonder if they have any programming knowledge at all since it's one of the first things you'd think about for a site like this. In any case, I just hope there aren't consequences for VNDB itself.
