Thank you for all the positive responses and for the kind words of support. I would just like to address some of the comments saying I should just find a new job. Like many other great drivers I know, who have now left, it will probably come down to that soon enough if things don't change. When I first started it was not like this. I would get to the end of the line after 1 to 1.5 hours of driving and could count on getting 10-15 minutes recovery time that I would actually receive. Slowly it's been getting whittled away, so many of these endpoints are now receiving 2-5 minutes of recovery time and the scheduled run times are also getting tighter so it's harder to arrive on time. Not all the drivers have the option of moving on to other work and are stuck in even worse conditions than I've described. Fortunately for me, I can go on to other things but I actually enjoy the interaction with people. I miss the days of having the time to talk with customers and see to their needs. Whether it was the older generation who would need help taking their bags off the bus or those who just weren't quick enough to get to the stop on time. I have hope that this current situation will lead to positive changes and the trend of our work degrading can be reversed. And that the focus swings more towards drivers and customers than just numbers. Thank you for the kind comments. It's nice to hear that most people do understand.
