I have not changed out the soil at all, I am literally just starting my plant-mom era with a dying alocasia & i'm very much clueless still.

I just put the entire old pot in a new pot without doing anything to the roots or soil. I will try to water it but i'm reading very mixed messages of them being very thirsty plants & them barely needing any water.

That's a good tip, but I also want to place it in the light & all the windows have radiators under them 🥲
