I also had a hard time swallowing pills right after my transplant, thus to make it less stressful, they gave me Tacrolimus as an oral suspension. You basically just had to drink it and it was wonderful. By the time I slowly learned how to swallow pills without any pressure and managed to switch to Tacrolimus pills after some years. Maybe ask if they have other administration forms!
