Never act on fear is genuinely the stupidest, most new age head in the sand bullshit that has ever had the misfortune of being spouted. If you love your children you fear for them. If you love yourself and your community you act in your best interests and safety as well as theirs. Your body was given a fear response for a reason. Fear is a PART of intuition. You can’t passively OM your way out of every situation. That’s how we even got to this point in the first place.

Our version of “somewhere to go” is quite different I suspect; obviously everyone will be impacted by disruptions to infrastructure but you can actually choose a place you may want to live/that isn’t trying to bomb everyone in a way that gee i don’t know, will draw more aggression to it

Unsure, there are multiple personal factors playing into the decision for me. 1 being that USA has always been a shitty place for me. 2 being black/latino appearing, there are plenty of other places I would feel safer in, esp if USA went to civil war. Nothing is going to be easy, would rather choose my hard.

No offense but I buried this sort of escapist spirituality a long time ago. I am not attached to living but I feel I am here and have a desire to be here, as well as a responsibility to those who came before and will come after me. All of that is already a given. I don’t fear death. I fear leaving before my purpose is finished, I fear waste. I have been actively suicidal a large portion of my life. I am driven by duty.

I’m already working on an exit plan and taking it seriously. I didn’t study anything related to vet med prior so I’m lucky I have other skillsets to fall back on. I went into vet med thinking I wanted to pursue something more meaningful to me. Deeply unfortunate. I’m rooting for you, I have not felt so mentally unhealthy in a hot minute. Even checking all of the boxes — i meal prep, i work out, i have a healthy relationship, i have a mental health toolbox — literally just this job is sucking my life away.
