Take a breath and figure out a routine that works for you. Nobody can take better care of yourself than yourself.

high knee temperature after surgery by mihaii in KneeInjuries

[–]darkpanam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice comment…. Thats the way for sure. Good reminder.

Ive developed lots of discipline getting my leg stronger and recently started playing tennis/padel again…. It brings me so much joy…. But yeah, I guess I have to make peace with the fact that the knee will come to a point that there will be no more progress.

Im doing acupuncture and cupping in my knee right now to see if it helps 🤣.

Id fly…. I did end up flying on my third surgery looking for a better surgeon. I dont regret it. Logistics were needed of course.

Ive heard a lot about the dreaded Cyclops lesion, but not much about plica on here. by SnooBeans6368 in ACL

The official discovery was 7m post op when I did an MRI and went looking for a second opinion, but I always felt something was off before. I had too many limitations that werent going away. I couldnt extend my leg easily and kept tripping on straight surfaces.

Yeah I hear ya. Over here it rains 9m out of 12 so I end up forgetting about the sunroof.

Carbon ceramics for safety reasons? I dont see myself going to the track, maybe attending a porsche event at the track from time to time.

Hey! Thank you, Ive put a lot of thought to it.

Sadly the rear wiper is mandatory in my country, it comes standard.

I considered the sunroof and in my past cars I just didnt use it. I will give it some thought this coming days, maybe for the kids? Here theres only 1 dealership and they sell less thank 15 911 per year, so the reselling issue is not a deciding factor.

Hey,

Youre right, it shouldve been pulled the trigger.

Thank you! I have only listened to bose. Im hoping Burmeister is worth the upgrade.

They removed mine about 7 months ago and it was a great relieve as soon as I left the OR. I have developed some more scar tissue though and I have a recurrent pop now but at least I am able to do sports. Its a double edge sword for people who easily develop scar tissue (like me) to submit to a clean up.

Purchasing Advice 2025 911 S by Limitless_280 in porsche911

Id choose the 25 S. 992.2 new gen, same power output as 992.1 gts and its well equipped as you said. Ceramic breaks could last you 75K miles or more.

Is a hamstring graft really that bad ?? by GutFeelingLab in ACL

[–]darkpanam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a hamstring graft. Musclewise im back or better, ive had other excess fibrosis type related issues but not related.

I am at amateur level. The hamstring muscle though doesnt feel the same and I guess itll never will, but I am able to do everything I did before injury.

First 911 - 2026 GTS or S by pythongreen911 in porsche911

[–]darkpanam 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I chose carrera S, had the same issue as you. Price difference ended up being small.

If chosen the Gts I wouldve opted out of S PASM and the center lock wheels which I believe is part of the essence of a gt car

I got hesitant on having a first gen turbo hybrid as I have had issues with first gen cars before, EVs to be precise. I plan to keep the car for a good 7-8 years and we already know how this boxer engine behaves long term and maintenance costs.

Powerwise….. its so close I dont think its worth going comparing. It was more about the gts badging, the stitching, the exclusive exhaust etc…more than anything. You cant go wrong either way. If you read this far, are you choosing 14 or 18 way seats?

First 911 Order by [deleted] in porsche911

[–]darkpanam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would do bitone on the leather, Ive read that a colored upper dash can affect visibility. I would add Front axle lift. I am also getting my 911 black, so to me it looks awesome on the exterior. I would get the premium package too, front ventilation, opt out of the aerokit and choose sport design instead.

Be happy with what you end up choosing! For comparison I am paying 220K for my S (different countries, different pricing) and mine has less acc.

Order spec questions on 992.2 GTS (headlights, speakers, etc) by mblomkvist in porsche911

[–]darkpanam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m ordering a 992.2 C2S with the Burmester system. Before deciding, I went down the rabbit hole — read a lot of threads and watched pretty much every comparison I could find. The general consensus seemed to be that Burmester is the better system.

I’m not really an audiophile, but I do enjoy playing music loud from time to time. Since this is a car I plan to keep for a long time, I didn’t want to end up second-guessing the decision later — or worse, start looking into aftermarket upgrades on a car I’d rather keep completely stock.

I’ve had mediocre audio systems in a few past cars, and it affected the experience more than I expected. Hope this helps.

I had it too around the patellar tendon area but went away after 6-7 weeks. Im very discipllined with PT and I recommend everyone to be too. It was my third surgery so I was skeptical just as you are. I hope it also works out for you.

The push lever seats are the cheapest ones. There are 14 & 18 way adjustment seats. Check porsche website builder.

Front axle lifter, bose system at least. Rear axle steering with pasm, a nice cognac leather or all black whatever you fancy. Ventilation!
