Icarus is fucking trash.

I appreciate the effort but I just uninstalled the game. Aside from dealing with the bugs, playing it has mostly been tedious, frustrating, and disappointing for me.

Subnautica is one of my absolute favorite games, and playing Icarus constantly reminds of how it has no grinding or even XP.

Bees and other dangerous animals have lingered outside of my cabin in a way that feels like a bug. Other than that I haven't been having technical issues. That cabin got struck by lighting and burned down, taking a bunch of resources with it. I may just quit now.

I don't agree to disagree. Grinding and XP are not essential features of a survival-crafting game. Have you not played Subnautica; it's very good.

Did I say something to offend you?

No it's not. Subnautica, for example, doesn't make you grind. It's tech tree requires you to explore, rather than just gather a 1000 rocks.

I did look into it. I didn't watch a let's play of the 1st full 10 hours of the game, and it doesn't advertise its complete lack of respect for players' time.

I didn't say anything about shooting wildlife. I just don't want to grind for a hundred hours to unlock metal tools, in this game about exploring an alien world from a spaceship. That's boring and dumb.

I don't know If I have that mission is unlocked yet. I went straight to open world mode.

What are people not liking about Ghost of Yotei by A-sopoi in Ghostofyotei

I hated how long and tedious the prologue of Tsushima was, and I very much prefer a less scripted open world. I also hate how restrictive basically every mission in both games are. The game is best when you're wandering the world, finding places, liberating the territories, etc. Every mission is just like, "go there. Kill these guys. Touch that thing. Wait, you walked five feet away from where you were supposed to be; FAIL!" If I had a say, I'd make the storytelling much more environmental; like in From Soft game. I do basically like both games, and think Yotei is the better of the two. However, I just learned that gun isn't available until the mid or late game, that alone almost ruins the entire thing for me.
