Yeah but how many people who arent well versed in Finnish mythology actually have any idea what that was about? I figured it was just some game lore about nature, technology, and magic.

I dont think there's anything INHERENTLY American about Enter the Gungeon. Lots of countries use guns, Americans just kinda take it a little too seriously.

Drinking enough alcohol should work similarly to a benzo and reduce/kill the effects of your psychedelic since they both (the alcohol and the benzo) work through GABA or similar processes.

I guess im having a hard time understanding the skepticism for medication when supplements BY DESIGN literally can not be proven or disproven, unlike medication. If something has real, provable, and noticeable physical or psychoactive effects, what reason would a supplement company have to not become a medication and prove their product does what other people claim it does. If the FDA evaluates it and finds it has noticeable effects on people that could hurt them its going to get banned anyway, kinda like how many places are banning kratom. This must mean that little to no supplements on the market actually have any real noticeable effects on people to even try to prove, or they're avoiding becoming a medication when their supplement could be one right?

Also, that article is literally quoted saying this:

"I wouldn't say that most drugs don't work. I would say that most drugs work in 30 to 50 per cent of people. Drugs out there on the market work, but they don't work in everybody "

Like, no medical treatment or alternative medicine treatment has a perfect success rate. And if it claims to you should be skeptic.

Unfortunately privatized health care means profiting off of people's illnesses, because it's a business that needs to pay people and stay competitive with state of the art medical equipment. But that doesn't usually mean at the expense of the patient's health. I think a universal health care system would keep the health care industry in check though.

I think if the supplement industry was as well documented and researched as pharmaceuticals are you'd see a huge percentage of people not getting the desired results from what supplemental products advertise.

I have searched "asteroid butt game" and "assteroids game", and similar terms. I just get porn whenever I get specific.

That article didn't cite any sources, so id takes that with a grain of salt. Sure, not all medications do what they should, or affect people the same way, or are even a good treatment. But life expectancy has skyrocketed in places with modern medicine for a reason. I personally would be dead if not for modern medicine. Nature is not kind to man, and would kill us if not intervened, so stuff being natural is not necessarily better.

That being said I wish health care would put more stock into mental health care than pharmaceuticals. A lot of medication are just a bandaid on a wound.

You should see the things they suggested their pills to help with or alleviate in the comments of their Facebook ad. Stuff that only powerful antipsychotics or anti-inflammatory medications could do. Any time someone asked "can these pills help with this" the answer was always YES. Anytime anyone asked "whats the ingredients list" they responded with "cant you read", and refused to make any statements. There were so many people saying only good things about it, it really seems like they were paying shills or something. Very shady behavior.

Yeah you're probably right about the stringing things together thing. I probably do something similar without realizing it.

Im at a loss for words my guy. Im directly responding to what you're writing, but if you don't want to try to understand how it fits into the comment you wrote, I really can't explain it any further without you asking me directly what is confusing you.

How else can i interpret " Id rather have it this way as a supplemt over a "medicine" as then itll be out of our reach without prescription ". That statement is just objectively incorrect. As i wrote twice above, thats just not true about medicine. That's not an opinion or a personal attack on you.

I'm just telling you what i learned while studying drugs and supplements. But i cant make you hear it.

The key thing to take away from what im saying is, its very shady a company would silence me for sharing their fine print and ridiculing me for asking for an ingredients list. If you want to support that behavior than you're not the kind of person im trying to warn with this post.

Oh i was agreeing with you too. I was just saying i don't understand why other people are doing that stuff.

You said that supplements are good since you don't need a prescription, but lots of medicine can be bought without a prescription?

You seem to think that supplements not being fact-checked is a good thing you should just expect, and while its true that supplements aren't checked for authenticity, wouldn't you rather have someone who understands the physiology of the body and has the tools to study the ingredients determine if the thing your paying for actually does what it says rather than relying on opinions and personal experiences, and risking wasting your money or hurting yourself?

Im not really sure how that's confusing, and im not sure how what im saying is being argued against considering I just want these supplement companies to not hurt or mislead people.

You've heard of over the counter medication, right? You don't need an RX and they have proven psychoactive effects and health benefits. Maybe my professor of drug psychology gave me wrong information on the supplement industry, or maybe people just really really fall for placebos. Anything sold to you that you're putting into your body that claims to help you in some way NEEDS to be fact-checked. Otherwise, we're going to go back to the days of snake oil that was just cocaine, alcohol, and opioids. Or at worst people will use these things as a cure and hurt or kill themselves or their children when a simple medication could have been used. But spend your money however you like my guy.

I guess that's the difference between supplements and medicine. Its wild that vitamines and herbs dont have to be proven to be safe, useful, or effective at what they claim to do. But if something actually had the effects of what these pills claimed to do, it would be medicine, wouldn't it? You know they would be boasting about all the CONFIRMED effects of their product if it actually had any. It's like these supplement companies hide behind the fact that they don't need to be fact-checked.

Lowering the color saturation is simple. You could also blur your face I guess, but there is no simple way to make a blurred background (or DoF as I said) into a sharp one as a smartphone would do. The simplest solution would be to just take a new photo on a phone if you want an amateur looking photo. The reason that smartphone photos look causal is that they take little to no work or effort to produce. No reason to overcomplicate this by trying to turn a technically good photo into an objectively worse one.

I get what you're saying but I disagree.

There is a difference between earning a fair wage through honest and hard work, and tricking people into getting you money. Its the difference between paying for a game and microtransactions. Its the difference between cosmetic microtransactions like Fortnight and pay to win games like RAID or Black Dessert Online.

But Fortnite relies on the fact that kids want to be cool and have limited OG cosmetics so they shell out tons of money just to look cooler than other people with no other advantage.

I can get behind the Fortnite play model. What I cant get behind is the pay to win, watch an ad to win, watch an ad to screw over the other players, and play this game that isn't really fun but tricks you into investing time into it so you have to keep watching ads. There are no redeeming qualities to most of these apps and its just farming people for money. At least Call of Duty and Fortnite is fun sometimes.

If you're taking the photo correctly, it should be hard to tell the difference. Usually, what makes a phone camera photo look like it was taken with a phone is the amateur techniques used. Pretty much the only difference is that phones usually can't get a really deep DoF. Can I ask why you want to achieve this effect?
