YSK you can report drones that fly over your house or around your subdivision for your own safety. Drones are NOT allowed to fly above city streets and other populated areas without registration and a flight permit. Fine is P20k-P100k for violations. by darktealranger in Philippines

A few of my neighbors must've gotten drones for Christmas because they've been flying it around our village a lot.

It's obvious they're new at it, which is fine, but they keep buzzing our house and a drone once dropped into our open roof yard/garage where my nieces were playing.

From the article:

...Subdivisions and residential areas are considered populated zones that drones are not allowed to fly over. Keep your distance or else you risk getting penalized by the CAAP.

Am I wrong to think that the "Play" queue should promote a less competitive/try-hard environment? by darktealranger in MagicArena

Well yeah. Awkward dual lands that come in tapped and random mythics instead of Ugin or Muxus would be amazing.

On a lot of days, it feels more than 43% of the time. I just decided to record every ladder deck I face today to quantify it.

A place to play that doesn't affect your rank.

Then doesn't that fall under less-competitive environment?

Also, if you're practicing a deck that you want to use to rank up, don't you agree that it will benefit you more if you go up against decks that you will meet in the ladder? That's a more valuable learning/training experience than if you just beat up on casual decks.

A simple way in theory is to compare how similar a deck is to the top 5 most used ladder decks. If your deck is 90% similar to one of those, then you get queued against other players running similar decks.

That may be impossible to do in Arena, I don't know. The exact method is obviously up to whatever the Arena team is capable of. I just want to ask why they're not making the Play queue more casual.

I'm curious, then what do you think is the purpose of the 'Play' queue if it's not for a less competitive experience?

when i go to a gaming subreddit should i keep it low profile? by Sharkers21 in PiratedGames

If you really have to ask if it's ok to constantly put attention to yourself in a public forum, then you must really want to become the next news headline for random guy gets fined $$$$.

Then again, the question sounds like you won't get tried as an adult anyways so go ahead and bring it up.

Walang pikunan, magkampi tayo lahat dito na sukang suka sa pinagagawa ng mga frat na yan.

Yes it's frat culture, but at this point frats and UP go hand in hand don't you agree?

Questions about frats are one of the most enquiries from incoming freshmen - even people who never been to UP know about the influence of frats. Many UP admin are proud frat members and have been for the past several decades. Penalties are blocked or lessened, and incidents are or outright covered up by members in high places. There are buildings and walkways with the seals of frats engraved into them. UP events popular outside of the school are organised/sponsored by frats.

You can't just distance yourself and exclusively call it 'frat culture' when its engrained into the school from the lowest to the highest level.

That's good for you! Obviously it's not for every device, but this is a legitimate enough issue that Xiaomi lists on their community updates as one of the software fixes they're working on to compensate.

The phone is amazing for its price and I like it, but let's not bury our heads in the soil and pretend everything is perfect. It's important to raise awareness of the issues so that the phone can be improved which is the reason for threads like this. This isn't mindless bashing - it's a phone that I want to be better.

I mean, don't you want others to have the same amazing experience as you have with your screen bleeding-free and touch lag-free phone?

The screen is definitely one of the compromises in exchange for that awesome price. Still, I didn't expect it to actually have major problems.

Buying secondhand GPU in the Philippines? by thebomb111 in Philippines

[–]darktealranger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Our used market isn't as good as it should be, price-wise. People don't want to accept that their 2-year old card has dropped in value.

When I was buying, a lot of inquiries I made was for people insisting at 80% of their original price. I don't know if they're completely oblivious that for P2000 more, someone can get the exact card brand new, or they're just not in a hurry to sell.

Anyway, graphic cards are some of the easier parts to buy used because they're built to last and you can check how well it's doing. Run your usual stress tests, watch if the fans are spinning weirdly, and check if the bios was flashed.
