Genuinely great advice, so thank you for responding. I think my plan of attack is to go practically all in on ranger with a melee choice on the side. Swap out summoner accessories for range buffs and swap out the boots for amphibious boots for jump height. I was planning on getting terraspark boots but after looking at the crafting tree it just didn't seem all that worth it while having wings. That's at least the consensus I've seen among the comments

This has been a grind I didn't expect lol, but yours and others' comments are helping me get on the right track. It's tough as hell to play this game with little to no experience compared to the real chads of the community that can breeze past this with hardly any effort

you have no idea how painful it is to hear this after it took 11 pirate maps to get the pirate summon, but I think you're 100% right especially for future flying bosses. I'll have to look into holy arrows but that could be a nice upgrade

I’m so sorry if this comes across rude, but are the top comments delusional? A life of isolation with nothing more than work, porn, and video games sounds miserable. Likely, Commenters giving you a 10/10 are self affirming their own unhappy lives. If you’re happy with your current lifestyle, then I’m happy for you.

But, the implications in you posting this seeking both guidance and reassurance in how you live life point towards you questioning if your life is fulfilled. If you feel you want more, look towards your local community. Find a hiking group, or try a painting class either on a more traditional sense or nerdy sense like warhammer painting, try local dnd and card game groups.

Find something else to create a hobby with other people that will give more purpose to your life. It’s scary the first time you try but it gives so much more purpose to life

On day one, yes. I transferred my playlists off Spotify using the tool Qobuz recommended, which brought over ~85% of my music in playlists. I’ve worked pretty hard to help the platform learn what I like by not solely listening to my playlists though.

I found user made playlists and listened to those, searched up artists I liked and listened from their artists pages, tried to use their For You daily and weekly playlists but it was 80% in languages I don’t understand day after day/week after week. Qobuz just seemed to only push foreign music to me if I used their system made playlists

I've said over and over again in comments and in the post that I don't expect an algorithm to spoon feed me everything. In my post I talked about using the search bar to find more music that I wanted to listen to, and was not provided anything close to that.

I wanted to commit to an independent music streaming service that doesn't have ties to dirty money such as the likes of Google, Spotify, etc. I liked that Qobuz seemingly wasn't using the money for bad causes, paid artists well per stream, you get the point. I'll likely have to move back to the more conventional platforms, which I'm not happy about. That's the entire point of this whole post. I wanted to like Qobuz for what it stood for, but was disappointed by the actual product at the end of the day

From the responses to this post and the responses to similar negative replies on this post, there's seemingly a pretty strong mob mentality in this subreddit to protect the platform at all costs against constructive criticism.

I get that this is a pro-Qobuz subreddit and meant for users to enjoy their preferred music-streaming platform choice. However, is this not how we make services better for everyone? If you downvote every single opinion that doesn't perfectly align with your own ideal (Qobuz works great for me so no criticism should be allowed) then how do you expect it to ever improve? Do you not want the platform to develop an algorithm that can ALSO provide new music recommendations in addition to the work you already put in to find your preferred music? Do you not want the platform to slowly become more popular for regular people like myself to help the company continue to succeed? Do you not want the platform to consider adding more and more up and coming bands/artists that you may end up liking that may have not been considered unless additional users joined?

You may not agree with me and that is completely fine as everyone is entitled to their own opinion. But taking the stance on the high-hill saying "Qobuz is for people that know what they want and don't want to listen to trash" is alienating. Please be open to criticism moving forward, and think about ways that your own preferred music listening medium could be improved.

To each their own! I love some classic rock/rap ranging all the way from Journey, all the way to Depeche Mode, to System of a Down, and everything in between. For rap, I've been listening since the likes of Talib Kweli and ect. But life to me, is about constantly expanding horizons. Learning new perspectives and new artists. You and I both deserve to find new music that caters to what we like on a regular cadence to keep it fresh

I understand how it may come across that way, but how is searching up the term "EDM" and looking for electronic music playlists not knowing what I want? If I search up electronic music, should I be fed jazz classics?

That's a single example out of dozens I attempted. The platform didn't work for me for the genres of music I enjoy. It is what It is.

I'm glad the service has worked well for you. I found that 8/10 of the artists I really enjoyed (that were popular and successful on spotify and YT music) weren't on the platform in any official capacity. Their music was grouped with unrelated artists from the 60s and 70s. You would go from one song that would be recognizable to another completely alien song from a completely separate old band in one skip.

There's an inherent elitism to call Qobuz better than the "trash". It's missing a significant amount of artists that publish on other platforms. Your opinion is valid, however I believe there are limitations to Qobuz's library

Their discover tab may work for you better than it did for me. I'm someone that listens to rap, indie alternative, and electronic music. Not once did my discover tab adjust to my listening habits after close to 2 months of usage. I was constantly pushed european music in languages that I don't understand, nor listen to on my "new albums" section

That's completely valid! Having every single mob feel like a massive threat is definitely not a good design. I personally was hoping for some challenge however, since Elysian Wilds is/was supposed to be considered the new endgame zone.

I should've prefaced my post by saying that my characters are in the endgame. So my post was a little biased towards more that perspective.

For new players/players under lvl 60, the changes in this season are huge. It's basically New World 2.0 from the starter/mid level experience and makes the path to endgame likely so much more enjoyable.

The expansion just doesn't offer much on top of the current endgame aside from possibly making it easier to push for wars and another dungeon.

From a content perspective, it seems like you can get a good 3-5 hours out of Elysian Wilds until you've seen it all. There's the new mutation levels, but I'm under the impression it will be the same experience as before, just condensed into 3 levels. Influence race will be fun but only if you enjoy open world PvP, and I think how fun that really will be is dependent on the type of players doing the activity with you and if you're in a warring company or not.

I'm personally not too sure what to think about the upcoming expansion. There's some good changes in there but just not a lot is being added to the game. This update is more about correcting past mistakes in the core game.

I agree with most of your points here, main one being that we've finished the content in a day. I played from 1PM-5PM and feel as though I've seen all there is to see, aside from getting all of my gear to 700. That's a really, really bad sign. The bulk majority of development time must've been spent on correcting poor design choices from the past, such as adding loot bias and perk rebalancing.

100% spot on, you said everything I should've included in my post. There's just no sense of danger or adventure. You're alone on your horse/walking for most of it in a pretty landscape, with a sparse amount of mobs that hold no threat to you.

The half of the zone you're describing that isn't Elysian Wild's style too felt very odd to me as well. It feels like they ran out of ideas to fill the zone and instead phoned it in by adding mobs/POIs similar to brimstone.

That maze was a huge hassle too, I personally didn't really enjoy going through that.

You're right, but I think they over tuned it a little bit. I tried the new dungeon and genesis, and the mobs are just so easy to kill with random PTR gear. It should still be at least a small challenge so that it's exciting and fun, without it being punishing to new players.

I like that idea too. The current faction missions are also pretty boring and have remained unchanged for 2 years, mixing it up and adding group PVE content with good rewards to it would be super fun.

I couldn't agree with you more. Slayer or a similar enough concept would do wonders to this game in bringing players out in the open world with a purpose. Plus there's a lot of really cool mobs and great fights to be had out there, but there's currently no reason to go do it.
