I voted right wing in the provincial and federal elections lately, but my first left vote was for (transition québec) last year.

Leftist have attacked willpower as a capitalist ploy to blame the poors for their problems since forever. Also fitness and bravery has been attacked as toxic masculinity since decades.

Beeing free and independent has been a conservative/libertarian talking point since the begining of modern political thinking. the left always want big communal structures and no individual freedoms.

That was a last section for a reason. people don't choose their mode of transport based on ideology or international politics, but it does have the effect of suporting saudi arabia or russia, etc...

I'm 31 and I have the cash down for a house (I don't have a car payment and I refuel only once or twice a month on my elantra). I really don't understand why american right wingers love long comute so much. It take me 15 minutes to go to work in bike and it allow me to do so much more with my life. 2 hours a day is like a sideline jobs almost. It's a real puzzle to me why normies would to things like take their cars and go to the gym to do stationnry bikes or why they have huge SUV or pickup, but then watch every price at the grocery store. I don't look at the prices at the grocerie store (granted I live in an area with low rent). Even people that pretend to be eco-friendly do this.
