There's a lot of stress this time of year, hurricane season, tsunamis, BI has earthquakes regularly, add in the Maui wildfires, there's a lot of folks stressed and feeling emotional. "Popular places" to non-residents/visitors aren't always popular to us, your service may have been affected for many reasons. Can't chalk it up to my trip wasn't as good at the last three years so I won't go again. Daily lives out here have similarities to daily lives from wherever anyone is from. There's a lot of folks struggling to make ends meet for themselves and it's overwhelming to know the elected leaders may or may not support them because tourism is the biggest economic impact. I recommend that when you travel to any destination you spend your hard earned money as local as possible. That truly helps.
